Question about Honeywell Electronic Programmable Heat/Cool Thermostat - CT3300A100 Heater
We bought a honeywell programmable thermostat and it only has 5 wire hook up our current totaline has 6 wire hook up. Can we use this new thermostat and if so how do we install it.
Some thermostats have an extra terminal for an outdoor sensor which tries to anticipate the need for heating or cooling. If this option is not present, you will have an unused terminal which may have a shorting link to a neighboring terminal. Your installation instructions should mention this if the option is or is not included with your model. Also, heat pump systems vary in the system control voltage and not all thermostats and systems are compatible with the more common split system thermostat.
