How to prime the injectors and fuel rail after replacing the injectors?

Electromagnetic or electronic fuel injectors are self-priming and all that is needed is to crank the engine, though I believe on later systems the injectors are coded and will not work unless the ECU has been informed the codes have changed. I think this applies more to diesels than petrol engines but on such matters I am not expert...

Staying with diesels for a moment - new injectors on either engine would usually mean fitting a new fuel filter. Sometimes this would require the primary diesel circuit to be bled in order for the high pressure pump to work.
The amount of starter cranking required can be cut by leaving each injector pipe loose in turn until diesel is dribbling from it.

How to bleed injector pump on isuzu nkr pick up

These are self bleeding so if diesel is getting to the pump it won't need bleeding. If you still feel the need to bleed the system then loosen one injector pipe turn the engine until you see diesel coming tighten again it should fire up. If you have a good flow of diesel coming from the filter to the pump and diesel at the injector pipe then your pump pressure may be low. To check remove any injector reconnect the pipe to it with the injector end where you can see it. Turn the engine with the starter a few times the diesel should be making a mist. Wear eye protection for this test

Injector pump leak

This will almost certainly be the plastic fuel pipes connected to the fuel pump replace both of them this is a common fault the rubber o rings on the pipes harden and leak make sure you prime the diesel filter after replacing these pipes the engine can be difficult to start on this model once air is allowed in the system

Isuzu kb 280 dt got a fuel starvation problem after it stands for a few days, when i pump the prime pump on top of fuel filter the problem is gon.

It could either be a fuel pipe between your prime pump and injector pump that sucks air so your diesel flows back into your fuel tank. Or you need to replace the prime pump. There is a rubber diaphragm in the prime pump that gets worn. Unfortunately need to buy a new prime pump. A simple sollution is to fit a non return valve to your fuel line. That need to be connected between the prime pump and fuel tank. Hope it helps. Blessings

How do i bleed the diesel on a 1990 isuzu rodeo jb1 4wd

1990 its an injector pump ,two bleed screws on the in jector pump, but it might have a auto bleed pipe, think it has so prime it with the hand pump then slacken the injector pipes on the injectors and assistant cranks ,never no more than 20secs so as not to overheat the motor ,then as one or the other shows fuel pumping up tighten it as you get to 2 or more it will start

How do you bleed a peugeot 206 1.9 diesel fuel system

The diesels I've worked on are bleed at the injectors. You need to loosen each injector in turn and pump up fuel pressure until only fuel comes out, no air, than tighten the fitting up before it back feeds. Repeat this process for each injector.

My fuel filter will not prime on a 6.2 diesel what could I have done wrong

hi from the uk if your vehicle is equiped with a manual fuel primer device? and unable to prime f i pump ? no fuel at f i p are you trying to prime with the ignition on ? as the fuel shut off solenoid that is fitted to f i p is elec/ignition on activated so fuel can then be primed into the f i p and then to assist starting just loosen a couple of injectors delivery pipes while turning engine over then retighten the stop solenoid is liken to a temp sender unit ? and is normally located at the top of f i p adjacent to fuel inj pipe connections solenoid has a wire attached to activate fuel valve in solenoid allowing fuel flow and ign off shuts fuel supply if you operate on/off with key ign you can hear click if working? but better test is by volt meter to test if ign supply ok? if you have merely ran out of fuel or just changed filter ? then provided no air leaks on supply fro tank the above should get you started ? come back if you have more info/update? hope and wish you good luck
