You need to see if the heating element is getting voltage. You can do this with a multimeter set to volts. Use a scale that is greater than 200 volts. If the element is getting 120v and is not getting hot then it is most likely the heating element.

### We can't get our hot tub to heat. The heater light comes on but the heater still won't heat.

heating elements are resistors that get hot
one end will have 115 volts but the other end should be considerable less because the resistance of the heating element drops the voltage
if you used a ohm meter you should be reading a resistance of 500-1000 ohms for a good heater element but with your readings , there will be no resistance so the element is faulty

### Will not heat water

You have a bad heating element. This is the core function of your coffeemaker and renders it useless for anything but a nice warming plate.

I recommend replacing the coffeemaker.

In the future, make sure you do not add water to the reservoir unless the coffeemaker has been turned of for at least five minutes. This will help prolong the life of the heating element.

The heating element will naturally degrade over time. But, it can incur sudden damage when the reservoir is refilled with water too soon - while the element is still hot. Because of the simple design, if the coffeemaker is on, then both the warming plate's heating element and the reservoir's heating element are on. So, after a brewing cycle is complete, the reservoir's heating element stays on. Without any in the reservoir to keep it cool, the heating element superheats. So, if water is put in the reservoir while the coffeemaker is on or before the element has adequately cooled, the sudden burst of steam from the water contacting the element can be quite violent.

### Dryer want heat up what's problem

It is possible that your dryer isn't heating because its heating element is defective. Heating elements are irrepairable. If yours has ceased to function properly, you will have to replace it. Open your dryer's cabinet and locate the heating element so that you can test it. Disconnect the power source to your dryer before you conduct this or any other test. Either unplug the unit from the wall outlet, remove the appropriate fuse from the fuse box, or flip the appropriate breaker in the circuit breaker panel.

Dryer heating elements come in various shapes and sizes. They are all strung with a coiled wire made of a nickel and a chrome alloy. This wire receives, but resists, a controlled electric current and as a result, the wire heats up. The heat produced is used to heat and dry the clothes in your dryerOnce you have gained access to your dryer's heating element, set your multimeter to the R x 1 resistance scale. Touch each meter probe and to one end of the element. If you receive a reading of infinite resistance, then your heating element is no longer functioning properly and you will have to replace it, thanks to parts direct

heatibg elements cycle on and off at regular intervals, due to thermostats that regulate the dryer temp. for functional and safety reasons.if your dryer is a residential unit being used in a commercial setting, chances are its being overloaded...a dryers most basic functions are: 1.heat 2.turn and 3. evacuate moisture. its either overloaded or a venting problem-nothing else

### Oven doesn's heat up when using the conventional function.

Yes, there is probably a second element involved. you will probably find that it is located under the base of the oven. It is called the base element..
You will have to remove the rear and side panel to gain access to it.
Hope this helps solve your problem.

### I have a whirlpool range mod rf368lxpq o replaed probe and panel still very slow to come to temp. pre heat goes to about 200 deg and then veryy slow to come up to temp and hold temp

It sounds like one of the elements are not working. There should be a concealed element in the bottom of the oven and a 'bake assist' element at the top iether seperate from the grill element or as a dual element assembly. Both of these elements should heat on bake function (not the grill element though), check for heat from both by turning bake on and feeling for heat from top and bottom. The oven requires heat from bot to get up to and maintain temp.

Hope this helps

### Dryer will not heat-up, clothes stay wet even after hours of drying! gas is on, gas bill payed, turning needlessly, no drying.

It is possible that your dryer isn't heating because its heating element is defective. Heating elements are irrepairable. If yours has ceased to function properly, you will have to replace it. Open your dryer's cabinet and locate the heating element so that you can test it.
