Sorry for the delay in responding...just got back from travel - still have the problem due to an inability to get past Advanced/Advanced Properties, then Monitor stage. When I get to the point where I should be able to change the monitor and or Update Device Driver Wizard there is no way of doing it due to the Default Monitor settings or lack there of.

    Regards,

You might have to tell it to accept your driver. They don't usually provide exe for monitor drivers. Most of them come in a .inf file. It change that you right click on any blank space on your desktop and then select properties. Then select the settings tab. If you have dual screen make sure you have the correct one selected under display. Then select advanced button. The you will select the monitor tab and then the Properties button. The the drive tab and then update driver button. At this spot I would make sure you know where that .inf file is. Select Install for specific location(advanced). You can try to select the location and select the folder it is in. You you can choose don't search and choose the drive to install. I choose the second, then select have disk. Hit browse and then find the folder the .inf file is in. Select that file and hit OK. Your Monitor should show up on the window, select it, if not then un check the compatible hardware and it will be in there. Select your monitor and your driver will be installed. You may have to restart, but you will have the correct driver now.

Searched the CTX site found the device in discontinued products but no link.

This one actually has 761 in the name -- you did not list what you have found so I hope this is new.

This sounds like a computer problem and not really a television problem. Check your driver files.

Try removing your driver files. Then disconnect your AOC monitor. Reboot the computer and login. Shut down the computer and reconnect the AOC monitor. Start the computer. Now install the monitor drivers.

My CTX model S761 LCD monitor flickers and I think it needs new bulbs. Do concur that is the problem? Where can I find new parts?

The "bulbs" in LCD's are CCFL tubes. Similar to the long flouresent lights you see in office buildings etc.
If they are blown, then they don't flicker.
Chances are the inverter circuit, what powers those tubes, is failing and should be looked at by a qualified technician.

Hope that helps =)
