The short answer is no, but not knowing from where this question comes, makes me want to know more. What is the problem you are trying to solve?

SOURCE: flyback transformer and horizontal output transistor change out

There is a little loose sleeve at the transformer. It can be pulled out, but it is best to squeeze the sides through hole on each side of the terminal to remove the sleeve. The wire just comes out with a small pull afetr the sleeve is removed. Good luck.

Hello
Along with the flyback transofrmer, its horizontal output transistor also must be replaced. I don't know whether you have replaced it or not. If not, replace it too. It can be located very near to the flyback transformer, a three terminal component, black in colour, usually screwed to a metal heatsink. Then switch on the TV and measure the video output voltage at the video output card pluged directly to the picture tube neck. The collector of the video aoutput transistors must come around 145VDC. If it also is there, advance the screen control on the flyback transformer to get a raster. If that voltage is not there, it means that the flyback transformer is not working, and horizontal oscillator stage should be checked for oscillation, check the lined drive transformer for its primary winding open, Check the entire horizontal oscillator section. The collector point of the line drive transistor, the transistor that drives the line drive transformer, a small transformer soldered diretly to the printed circuit board; should be checked with frequency meter. The frequency at that point should come around 15525HZ approx: OK.

The TV will not turn on. It blinks in standby for 6 times and shuts down.. Unit is about 10 yers old.

6 blinks = No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking self diagnosis
function immediately. Check C515 & 516 and the jungle IC, IC206 (or similar component references for your model) and replace flyback transformer if required.

Generally, whenever horizontal OCP (over current protection) occurs, the primary cause is usually the flyback transformer (these short circuit/burn out), the horizontal output transistor(s) and the tuning capacitors in the transistor(s) collector circuit must all be replaced together. It is also a good idea to check the ABL (or beam limiter) circuit as components may have been compromised in it due to the failing flyback.

You could take it to a service centre and obtain a quote for estimated repair costs, then you can decide afterwards if it is worth repairing or not. It may not be economical and/or expensive.

check your horizontal transistor maybe it's shorted replace horizontal transistor or maybe the fusible fuses are open check for open resistors at the horizontal section of the circuit.

Hi i m sanjay i m having sony colour television kv-2782me7 i found some problem in power supply section i m geting low voltages frm secondary output i want 135 ,25 ,8 , and -33dc voltages bt i m geting...

there is a possibility of a shorted turn of the flyback transformer. To test. short B-E together on the horizontal output transistor and connect 60W globe across C-E. measure voltage across lamp - if it comes up to 135v then you have a short either in the horizontal circuit or secondary circuit off the flyback transformer or even the transformer itself.

I replace horizontal output transistor with new one but it happens the same short

check yoke coil for open ckt, and and check for 12 v dc supply to vertical circuit, sometimes resistor open that supply dc voltage coming from flyback transformer.

Screan on monitor not lighting up.

How do you know the flyback is good if it is not functioning?
Some causes for no high voltage:
short or open horizontal output transistor.
open or shorted capacitors in horizontal circuit.
Defective or non functioning horizontal drive circuit.
Open yoke.
Malfunction in horizontal B+ regulator circuit.
Faulty solder joints.
Short in CRT.

I have hdtv rca d52w19 green power lights shows

Hello Chris this problem is coming from your high voltage circuit which consist of the flyback transformer and the horizontal output circuit, the most common problem when it is acting this way would be bad soldering on the flyback transformer or defective transformer but keep in mind it can also be caused by the horizontal circuit or a faulty lamp as well can cause this problem, what i would recommend is to have a tech come out to service your tv set this should not be an expensive repair since most of the time it is just bad soldering on the flyback thank you hope this helps.

Deefekt with the Monitor AOC 7klr

The flyback transformer is normally at the Horizontal section of the monitor's mother board, It sounds that your flyback transformer might be the cause, bright intensive white lines can be fly back defective. . Try changing your flyback cause I encounter a problem similar to this and it works.

It more like the tuning capacitor(s) that is connected to the HOT that is defective or a cristalized/dry solder joint nearby the flyback transformer.

Monitor makes annoying screech noise

Hello.
What you are reporting is a problem in the horizontal section of your CRT monitor. Usually this is from a component that is failing in the Horizontal circuit.

Most CRT monitors use what is called scan rectification to develop the voltages required for the different circuits inside the monitor. This puts a strain on the Horizontal Output circuits that are responsible for not only the voltage to the flyback transformer to allow CRT illumination (40,000 or so volts DC), but some of the flyback secondary power circuits are what runs the rest of the monitor. When the components in the Horizontal output circuit get weak and can no longer support the higher demands of the dependant circuits, the flyback transformer tries to run harder. The more current it tries to draw to continue operating, the louder the whine becomes. Since the flyback operates around 17,000 cycles per second, it is in the audible range. Since you can physically hear it, you can also notice the change as the load demand on it changes.
What happens when you reduce the size of application windows or minimize them entirely is the demand on the power circuits is lessened and the flyback circuit is no longer trying to produce the higher demand that it was with the large application windows.

It is a good bet that it will not be too long before the Horizontal output and/or transformer give out completely and leave you with a dead monitor and a large repair bill.
Since it has not gone completely out yet, I would suggest you consult your local repair shop for an estimate. It may be a simple matter of replacing the high voltage capacitors around the Horizontal output transistor before the other parts in the horizontal circuit are damaged. This would certainly be a less expensive alternative.

If you opt to not get it repaired, new 17 inch LCD flat panel monitors can usually be purchased for around $150 or so.

Only you can decide which choice is right for you. At least now you have a few facts to help make the decision.

(I realize I probably gave you more information than you wanted, but I felt it might make things a bit easier to understand. If not, please forgive the disertation.)

I hope this helps.
