The Problems you are experiencing can be caused by drum rollers that are worn or from a blower wheel (attached to motor) that has become worn on the shaft and is turning independently of the motor shaft. The description below will sdescribe getting the top and front of the dryer off. This will reveal both and allow you to replace them. The blower wheel should NOT turn without turning the motor. The failure which causes the noise is a rounding of the flat spot that mates with the flat on the motor shaft. If the internal hole on the blower wheel doesn't have a flat area, it needs to be replaced.

Good luck

Unplug the cord of the dryer before starting.

Raise top by placing a putty knife between top and front in the seam between the two about 2 inches in from each edge and lifting up at the same time. Raise top to full open position.

Look down inside the open top dryer at each side there will be a screw on each side a few inches down. Leaning against the front remove the two screws and pull the top forward a few inches and raise it from the supports at bottom then swing it aside protecting any wiring.

The blower wheel is at the front, the drum rollers are mounted to the rear walls.

Sounds like your problem may be from flat spots on your drum rollers.
If you have a front loading machine, you would remove the front of the dryer, this will expose the drum. Then you would remove the drum and this will expose the drum rollers. Take a look at them and make sure they look good, while you got the drum out of the way go ahead and lubricate them at the shaft with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil.
Hope this helps

Why does it vibrate excessively, even empty?

It's probably 'out of balance'

Many machines have adjustable feet to take up any uneveness on the floor. If one or more of the feet are out of adjustment it allows the machine to 'rock' .. causing the vibration.

You want your machine to be as level as possible. Try putting a bit of cardboard underneath one or more of the feet to identify which foot needs adjusting

Stacking washer and dryer still vibrating and walking during spin cycle even though stacking kit is attached

Assuming that you've installed the stack kit according to instructions, you should check the following:
1. The dryer should be securely attached to the washer and not wiggle or move. The washer must always go on the bottom of the stack.
2. Washer should be level and have all four level legs making solid contact with the floor, no wobbling.
3. Make sure the drain hose is not pinched or restricted (or there is not debris in the drain pump) as a slow pump out will accentuate vibration problems.
4. Make certain you've removed all of the washer packing bolts before using the machine (see owners manual for description.)
5. The floor must be solid with no "springy" or "spongy" feel. No matter what you do to the laundry set it will vibrate on a less than solid floor. This occurs on upstairs installations or other wooden floors, especially in an older home. Sometime the floor can be braced to stiffen it. Also, vibration pads are sold that might help minimize the vibration. The walking is a symptom of vibration.

Experience shows that most problems of this sort result from incorrect installation and/or flooring issues, not the laundry. You should not attach it to the wall. It is possible the washer has a problem in which case a technician would need to check the unit. They can check the suspension and drive system for proper operation.

Bad vibration when washer is spinning.

If the washer is vibrating, it's not sitting solidly on the floor. Move it until it sits solidly. If needed, adjust the leveling legs. It might also vibrate if the shipping blocks and bolts weren't removed when the washer was installed, or the wash load isn't distributed evenly.
If all this looks good, check the shock absorber to see if one has broken.

4 month old washer is so loud it sounds like someone dropping a trash can to the pavement from 5 feet high

Check to make sure it's level. Number one cause of vibration is not being level. Number two cause is soft floor and what I call "Sympathetic vibration" where the floor shakes a bit and it seems like it's in time with the vibration on the washer. It then magnifies the vibration and makes it worse.

If it's level and on a solid floor, you need to get it serviced under warrenty.

My machine vibrates so much that it moves around and the drawer with detergents opens in the middle of a cycle. What is the problem? How can this be fixed?

make sure it's sitting on a solid floor, next you need to use a level tool to level front, side and across, to level the machine, do not use wooden blocks, you need to adjust the legs, that come with it, an adjustable wrench can work.

Balancing problem Frigidaire stackable front load washer/dryer

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

Out of balance drum WM2277HW?

More than likely it did not get reinstalled right after the move. All four of the leveling legs must be firmly touching the floor. If one is even the thickness of a piece of paper off the floor it will start to rock during spin and the problem just amplifies itself. Make sure it's perfectly level and that all the feet are firmly on the floor.
