Question about Whirlpool GY396 Electric Kitchen Range
Control panel displays the error code for power failure when there has been no loss of power and remains even when power has been reset. Sometimes it will go into power failure mode numerous times in a short period of time even when the over is not being used. Is this a quick fix, or is this going to cost me?
Not sure if you need to replace your control panel, but if you do, you'll need this part http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartOnly.aspx?PPStack=0&pop=1&ShHd=0&ShFt=0&PartID=1257027
your original "membrane switch" seems to have been replaced with this new (improved?) style. it fits your range and will presumably solve any short circuit problems you may be having with your original touchpad/membrane switch
