I recommend to get a register without the type of printer it has. The (rubberband printer) is made to last too long. usually this means the pinch roll has loosened up a bit and in those printers it costs more to repair than replace!

Reprogramed tax after initializing Sharp ER-A330 now will not accept any sntry

I believe the ER-A330 has a Cashier # button - it should be labeled CASH #. It has to have a cashier signed on to ring a sale. Most owners forget that, because the same cashier stays signed in all the time, and nobody uses the button. If I'm right, all you have to do is this (in REG mode):
[CL] 1 [CASH #]
and start ringing your sale. The CL was to clear the error condition, if it was in one. 1 CASH # assigned Cashier #1 to the register.
The reason the register has the button is so it can track sales totals for each employee or shift. The register can be programed to stick with one cashier until another is signed on, or it can force you to sign on for every sale. At the end of the day it can print the normal Z totals by touching the CA/AT key, and touching the CASH# key gives totals for each cashier, I think.
Initializing the register cleared the cashier assignment and got you into the predicament. Touching the CASH # key twice will also clear the cashier assignment, as will resetting the Cashier totals with a Z reading. In any of those cases, just go back to REG and touch 1 CASH# again (or a different number if you want to sign on a different cashier).

You need to finish the flag clear.
Turn key to PROGRAM mode. Turn power off at wall. Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall. Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL. Wait for print out. Turn back to REG mode (you may need to sign back on)

i have cash reg. gold 2100 , and i programed the cash reg for (7.5 % to 8.5% ), by changing the 1508030 tax shift 2 to 1509030 tax shift 2 while the key is on program position.

the steps from beginning :
first: put the key on prog position.
2nd: enter 1505000 then press tax shift 1 ( 5%)
3rd : enter 1509030 then press tax shift 2 ( 8.5 %)
4th : enter 037000000 dep 1 ( tax able )
5th : enter 037000000 dep 2 ( tax able )
6th: enter 037000000 dep 3 ( tax able )
7th: press # / no sale .

put the key to reg position and try it . good luck and happy new year.

Try this:

Turn key to Program mode
2 SUBTOTAL 132 SUBTOTAL Now type the characters for the first line of the receipt using the alphabet on the edge of the buttons. If someone has removed the letters from the keys, just find the alphbet layout in your manual. 00 (double zero button) CASH (maybe labelled CA/AT) 232 SUBTOTAL Now type characters for second line 00 CASH 332 SUBTOTAL Now type characters for third line 00 CASH 432 SUBTOTAL Now type characters for fourth line 00 CASH SUBTOTAL
NOTE: You might have to do 2 receipt prints in REG mode to see the changes

Cannot read #'s on cash reg. tape

Many times its not easy to seat the inker. Also these machines have 2 rubber type wheels that will harden if the inker is not changed often enough. Also some people use thermal paper in these machines and that is not good either. if you are using thermal paper try using standard 21/4" adding machine paper. The type wheels may also be filled with glonck. you also may have bad inker. if the are crumbly they wont work

Casio cash register model # pcr202

Hi. we don't have that model here, but it sounds like the feed roller has come out. It is common in the little Epson 42 series printers. You will need to get a new feed roller. Some suppliers will only sell you a whole printer - prob around $60-80 US. ring your local dealer and see if one is available.
