SOURCE: How can I clean the rubber part of this keyboard?

The "rubber" is just a thin coating (at least on my diNovo Media keboard). It gets sticky over time and can be removed completely with isopropanol (2-propanol) and paper towels. The alcohol can be purchased at your local pharmacy.

You have to be patient, it takes some effort to fully remove it.

What about the key pad? Is it malfunctioning? If yes then may be that some fine dust may have got collected between the keys and the buttons. So, remove the front of the phone, lift the rubber pad and clean the buttons with a soft cloth and the clean the rubber pad as well and re-assemble. If any key is bad then it should be replaced by a trained technician, preferably from Nokia Care.

I would take a sheet of printing paper and do several stamps on that piece of paper until you got a clear image of your stamp.

My Tivoli Pal radio casing has a sticky feel on it, does one clean this or make it non - sticky

Just cleaned mine this morning because it was so ridiculously sticky and dirty with great success with nail polish remover and cotton pads. Read this solution posted elsewhere but was worried about ruining the finish, and there are warnings on the bottle about not using it on plastics......but tried a bit on the back. Went very well and with a load of pads and alot of scrubbing, it came completely clean! No sticky residue left, no discolouration. Looks brand new!

Clogged sweeper filters changed and hose cleaned, but no dirt collecting in the bag. I am no sure what do do next

You have a rubber flap in the dust collection bin that may have been pulled out causing the collection bin to close when vacuum tries to pass through. Try pushing the flap back in to see if that's the cause of your vacuum loss. To test if this is the cause try turning the cleaner on and feel the outlet leading into the removable bin to see if there is any air flow. If there is no air flow, unplug the vac and run a coat hanger through the inlet tube to find and clear any obstructions. Then take the vacuum outdoors, plug it in and turn it on to clear any dust or debris left in the vacuum chamber.

How do I clean Kens. orbit 6221 inside so will move cursor reliably again?

I use q-tips and rubbing alcohol along the rubber rollers.  you have to be pretty diligent in keeping this ALL the gunk and oils from your fingers go on the orbit ball and collect up on the rollers.  You can use a can of air to spray out the inside from dust.  For random stuck bits of hair etc in the rollers, use tweezers but if you tweeze something off the rubber roller you MUSTTTTTTTT be super careful NOT to gouge the rubber.

Paper jam when getting fax

Clean all the rubber rollers and guides with alcohol and a cotton ball, paper lint and dust collects on the rollers and causes slippage, cheap paper releases lint on the rollers also, get a can of air and blow it out, all the paper paths, look for tiny specs of broken paper in the paths.

I have the same problem with my Nikon N65 film SLR and I bought a vintage Super 8 movie camera where the rubber had turned to the consistency of gum on a side-walk on a hot summer day. On the a camera I carefully rubbed on a coat of talcum (which probably isn't the best thing to use on a camera but I was careful and it isn't something I do every day). I then took a small square I cut from an old terry towel and used friction and elbow grease to rub off the top layer of the rubber. I then took another square of the towel and dipped it in hot soapy water, squeezed out the excess and washed all that remained. I then took a small water-colour brushed (after I dried the surface of course), and dusted the surface of the rubber with talcum and let it sit overnight. This seemed to stop the derioration and clear off what had built up. The next day I took a very dry damp towell (if that makes sense) and wiped off the surface. It pretty much took care of that problem. That was the Nikon, it was only in the beginning stages, the Super 8 camera which had apparently hadn't been out of the case in 20 years. The Super 8 was so bad that I don't even know what had deteriorated, probably a rubber eye piece, that one was time consuming but basically I put the powder on carefully and just wiped big clumps off the metal eye piece. The powder just served to make it easy to clean up and kept it from turning into a 3 stooges farce with one thing sticking to the other and so on. Well, I hope this helps, I don't know why it works, maybe there's a chemist out there that can explain it to me. Good luck!!

LVW - 5005

Remove the cover of LVW and access the DVD assy, unscrew the 4 screws holding the DVD assy to the LVW bottom, remove the top and bottom shield (also 4 screws)and remove the top black plastic cover (4 screws). You will access the DVD spindle.Remove the disk if you still have a disk stuck inside.Visually check the spindle sticky rubber ring, most likely some sticky material migrated on top of the rubber ring and your DVD was stuck on it. Clean the best you can with a cleaner and a non lint cloth.I used a cleaner/degreaser for electronics.DO NOT POWER your LVW BEFORE reinstalling the black plastic cover. There is a laser inside !!! You may now try and if the drawer opens and closes, reassemble everything opposite way you disassembled.
