It is a pci-e card, so as long as you have a pci-e slot it is easy as pie. first remove the side of the case, there may be a screw or two on the back. There will be one screw holding your card to the case, or there may be a screw holding a single plate that covers all the cards, either way, remove the said screw. Check if there are any power connectors going to your card, this would be a small bundle of wires, going to a 6 pin connector on the card. If you have this, disconnect it, you probably dont. Next, look at where the card connects to the motherboard, on the front side of the slot (facing the front of the computer) there is a flexible tab that you have to pull to the side. While pulling this to the side, the card will now pull straight up out of the motherboard. Now you can insert the new card, when you press it in, you do not need to worry about the flexible tab, it will slide/click into place by itself. From the specs i saw on your new card, there is no external power needed for it either. So just reinsert the screw you removed earlier. I always leave the side of the case off until after the first time i have verified that the card is working, i.e. check to make sure the fan is spinning. Also, if your monitor uses the older vga connector, your video card should have included an adapter. Start the computer up and if the fan is spinning, and you have video on the monitor, you can go ahead and insert the driver disc and load the drivers/software. And your set, place the side panel back on the computer. Also, it is sometimes safe to first uninstall any prior video card drivers/software.

Hi I tried to install a PNY GeForce 9500gt into my HP pavillion PC with a NAPA MCP73M01H1 motherboard. The Mobo has GeForce 7100/nForce630i Chipset. For some odd reason The Geforce 9500gt would not show up...

this appears to be related in the BIOS. try to update the BIOS and disable the onboard video card from there if an option is available, then install the video card again and install the latest video driver for it compatible with your operating system

I need the fan size and voltage for a PNY 8500 GT so I can buy a replacement, but it doesn't seem to be listed anywhere

you have to find out which producer of cooling you want,fx Zalman ,northQ....
Than you have to look on there homepage for a list of compatible produkt list for your card.
Almost any gfx cooling producer makes a model for the 8800gt.
I prefer zalman....they looks great and easy to install.
