Plug and play problems on new Win 98 install on Tecra 8000
I had to format the C: and reinstall Win 98SE on my Tecra 8000. I downloaded the Neomagic display driver. All of which works fine except for three plug and play alerts on start up, one for a monitor and two 'unknowns'. I can find no way in device manager for disabling the WIN98 plug and play routines and alerts on start up. Please have you any ideas how I can solve this?

Easy enough. Go to www.toshiba.com support then laptop and search for your model and then sort by operating system Toshiba supports or has files for just about everything it makes or made so you can find everything you need.

Blue screens are generally operating system failure. You will need to reinstall your XP home. Format the drive NTFS, instead of FAT32. If you have any problems during or after the reload, then the hard drive is the failure and will need replaced.
