I just purchased a phillips SPC525NC webcam and installed it yesterday. I also did an install with SKYPE. I had another SKYPE user call me and we could converse with no problems. I could receive her video transmission and still converse. However when I turned on my video camera she advised me that she could no longer hear me clearly/ or had completely lost voice communication with me although I could still hear her clearly. Can you please advise how to fix the problem in order for her to see me and hear me clearly.

- Tks for the fast response. There are 2 separate connections in this unit one is a usb for the video camera and 2 connections for the head set one for voice transmission and the 2nd for hearing the other person. I believe in SKYPE they offer 2 sound card settings and I think I changed from a windows setting to the other option but the problem remained. In your point 5 what does the IM stand for.tks again

1.Check whether your cam has built in mic.
2.if then connect the mic signal cable to the MIC in connector in your sound card.
3.if your webcam doesnt support MIC functions. Connect the head phone with mic to mic/audio slot
4.if you have already connected Mic. then the problem with the sound card settings in the instant messenger menu.
5. Specify proper sound card manufacturer in the audi settings found in the preferences or options or settings menu in IM software.
