Hello Miguel. This is all about sound quality and balance. you may find that 11 speakers are too many. I want you to call Bose, google their phone number. Let them know what you have, what receiver[s] you have, what the space is like etc. THey will be able to put your data into their computer and advise you best for total sound quality which is what your friend's restaurant deserves.

The freespace three should have at most 4 satellites only. You can configure it with 2 or 4 satellite, and main unit.
If you check at the back of the Acoustimass unit you will see 4 pair of connector to connect four speakers, or two following indication at the top of connectors.
If there are 8 speakers, either 4 spears are not from same system or there was a different main unit, or 4 of the speakers where improperly connected on same connectors as the first 4 . This will work but can blow the system very easily and must not be done. Particularly on a Bose, where even non bose speakers can blow the main unit. or the model you gave me is wrong, and this is not Bose freespace 3.
Being a big space, I think the previous owner connected 8 speakers to a 4 satellites bose, risking to blow the acoustimass.

check your wiring connections, sounds like you may have intermittent connection somewhere, and this is the most likely culprit. be certain that all connections are solid. multi pin plugs are notorious for having one bad pin.

Ok, have you tryed to unplug all of the wires from the sub, including the power wire from the wall. Install of the speaker wires to the sub, and plug back in the sub. Also what are the numbers on the speakers and the sub.

he speakers are not connected properly. Check the speaker connections. The sound level on the rear or center speakers is turned down. Adjust the sound levels. The receiver is not in the proper surround mode. Set the receiver to a surround mode. The speaker settings are incorrect. Check the settings as per the user's manual.41a9b9c6-64e2-4745-adf3-95fdac1fe686.jpgba7a1620-dfc0-4e45-8fea-6237135735f9.jpeg

Hello........ looking for a schematic for Bose 501 series 3 speakers. I need to replace the fuse in line with the tweeters.... its blown & does not have a value on it (unmarked, quick blow, twin lead,...

Did you find a solution? Dunno if it's much help, but I just today picked up some 501s - Series I I think - ugly heavy brown material grilles - but with a manual! No fuses in these, but booklet recommends installing your own in-line fuse holders (!?). Specifies a BUSS AGC-3 fuse for amps under 50wpc; or a MDL-2 fuse for amps over 50 wpc. Can be placed is series with either or the two signal wires. Very strange.... Robin

You cannot add other brand speakers to Bose systems. You must purchase the Bose second zone speaker amp and speakers.

Subwoofer blows internal fuse when receiver is turned on

Has it ever worked?

Try this - connect one pair of its speaker wires at a time and test it. Watch the polarity.

• Make sure all cube speaker arrays are connected to the proper terminals according to their
position in your room.
• Check to be sure all wires are connected to your surround receiver with the proper polarity
(+ to + and – to – wires). Incorrect wiring can result in a total loss of module output.
• Correct any wiring problems before you plug in your receiver and turn it on.

Bose companion 3

This is a common problem it seems with the electronics within the speaker set. (Companion 3 with sub and remote pod, aka, 'puck' = help desk support term)
I bought the multimedia speaker set in 2004 and had it replaced in 2005 because the 'puck' would not turn on (no orange light nor green light.) So I called help desk and they accepted the warranty exchange and I mailed the entire system (speakers and all) back to Bose in Markham, Ontario, Canada and they sent it back several weeks later. It worked 5-6 years after that as it is 2009 now, and it has the same problem again (no light on the puck). So I called help desk again and was ran through the same tests again (on/off, power plug off, various audio inputs, etc.) and the guy said to mail it in and they'd fix it as a non-warranty item. Cost: $85(Cdn) for repair + taxes, and $39 for remote pod.
So the sound that I got to enjoy from the Companion 3 system was amazing but electronic quality is very poor. For a set that cost above most other home user sets at FS and BB, it is substandard longevity.
I like Bose and have no complaints about the sound, but I will not buy another Bose multimedia package because at $350 (in 2004), I would expect it to outlast other sets. My friend bought a Logitech speaker set from another company in 2003 and is laughing at me as he realizes this is my second set and it hasn't even lasted as long as his own set.

No volume

The Bose system in the Z is wired to control the entire car's speakers. Each speaker has its own amplifier, and the OEM head unit puts out a line-level signal to each amp. Your Clarion unit puts out speaker-level signal (in effect, an amplified signal), into the Bose amps, and it's probably overdriving them and putting them into shutdown.

Your best bet is to replace the Bose speakers with aftermarket speakers meant for a speaker-level drive (which is what I did in my Z, and never once regretted it). If you do so, you'll need to run new wires to the speakers, or if you use the OEM wiring, you'll need to unplug the amps and run the wires from the amp harnesses directly to the new speakers. I think there is an adapter harness you can use that will tap into the line-out jacks on your Clarion, so that a line-level signal can be sent to the Bose speakers - I'd do a google search for "Metra harness 300zx" or something along those lines (Metra makes the lineout harness adapters - I use one in my Audi).
