I have a GRXB bunn 900 watt 10 cup coffee maker that leaks from the bottom when you add water. can you help me find the problem

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

It's likely a rubber hose which has become loose where it fastens to a metal tube. Need to take the machine apart to investigate -- tube connection will need tightening. If you need more info, please let me know.--------- Charlie

If sounds like a bad seal/gasket. Please call customer service with the model and date code. If your machine is 3 years old or less, it will be replaced at no cost. If it is over 3 years, depending on the date code, there is a seal kit available to repair the leak. Or we can replace it at a reduced price.

Bunn coffee maker leaks all over the counter. What

there's probably a 'silicon rubber' hose that feeds hot water to the 'grounds basket'- it may be loose, or damaged. is it leaking water, or coffee?? we have a bunn 8-cup, which has a pre-heated water tank that brews a pot in about 3 min. energy waster, but when you need coffee, you need coffee!!! is your filter holder properly centered? is the carafe lid hole clean and un-obstructed?
if it's leaking water, and not too costly to replace- you may consider replacing it with a new one!
good luck!

My bunn GRXB leaks from the bottom when i add water. please help

Hi.
This needs surgery - so make sure it's unplugged, then remove the base & covers.
Look for leaks around seals and pipes.
80% of the time - it's a seal that is faulty. You can contact the manufacturer for a replacement - or - just use standard silicone sealant to apply a thin layer over the defective area of seal - then re-assemble.

Silicone is so effective thesedays - that engine sumps are "glued on" rather than using a solid gasket. I'ts cheap and effective for repairs like this also.
