Assuming you are using windows XP on this:
Create a new folder in "my pictures " folder
Copy the images you want to use into there
On your desktop, RIGHT click and choose "properties" to open the display settings
Click "Screen saver" and choose my pictures slideshow
Click "settings" to open the options for this
Click browse to point to where you saved the images
Set the duration and timings to suit your tastes

I am transferring images to my computer, which I have done before. Now I am getting the message "Save folder not found?" Have I moved it? Do I need to create it? How? Where? Please help....

My solution is to unistall your current canon software that holds 15 canon components in your computer. You will find them under system task and select remove programs. After you have uninstalled the program, reinstall your "Canon Digital Camera Disk" and follow their prompts. Now you should be able to transfer images again as per normal.
I have answered this question in detail under another question postered by "whitecar631" under canon "save folder not found" canon sd1100.
This worked for me, but I don"t know how to prevent it happening again. I do know the day I lost all "my pictures", I had previously deleted a large file in my documents. I also experienced "save folder not found" when I tried to transfer images from my canon ixus 100.
I was lucky enough that I had all of my original SD Flash Media Cards, so could transfer all my photos again. I have since put all my photos into labelled folders instead of dates and images.
Hope this helps, it appears to be a problem in the canon program. Joyce

And why is it that whenever i take a picture with the camera and it's saving the picture it says error there and the picture is not saved. D:

i have the same problem before..what i did was.. i went to my stuff folder-choose the memory card icon. there are a few folders there..if you scroll down..you can see all your pictures that you have taken before. move it to your picture folder or anywhere that suits you and you will not have "error" problem again when taking picture. i recommend you move it via usb connect to computer. hope this helps.

Once photos are downloaded from camera into Olympus software am unable to move them out of it as e-mail attachments or simply save them to "My Pictures" on hard drive.

Why don't you download them to a folder you create on your desktop instead of the software? Then, you can move or use them as you wish.

You did check free space on your hard drive didn't you?

Otherwise, I'd say the file is corrupted.

Saving pics i take

you have to create seperate photo albums and folder names. the the camera labels your pictures 1 2 3 and so on. so when those numbers come up again they are overwritten with the new info. so to avoid this...create one folder.(main)... then open that folder and create a new (sub)folders within the main folder for every download hopefully 10 or so more pictures at a time per sub folder....name the sub filders according to the content or, the current date which they were downloaded. what works well with myspace is photobucket.com your personal picture storage online for free. but til then the simple way is to keep this main folder in my pictures...most sites assume your pics are already there. it is the default directory with your msp,s(myspace pik's) ready to upload.

Hi

The camera creates its own folder named " DCIM " during the initial Format process
New folders would be created in this folder. To recover your lost images

Try removing the memory card and connecting it via a card reader/usb adapter to browse the contents of the card. Save all pictures elsewhere on your PC.

But chances are when you created the new folder the camera may have deleted the contents of the default folder. (the previous existing photos)

Save any photos you can find & re-format the memory card using Camera settings menu.
