The webcam is not even shoing up on device manager in vista. Theres no imaging device type in the vista Device manager. The driver from HP for the same don't work. Just frustrated with not able to get it worked, any help is appreciated.
Unplug you cam, reinsert in another usb port, the system should recognize new device, then install it automatically. It may ask for location of drivers, insert cd that came with your cam & direct wizard towards it.

I have version 2.0 (it came with my HP laptop) and whenever I apply an avatar it freezes and says it needs to check for a solution to the problem and inevitabley shuts down. All tech support says is to check the resolution and be in a well lit area, also don't move around really fast. But here I am with the highest resolution against a white wall with two lightbulbs shining on me 7 feet away. I've seen this all over, but CyberLink denies there's a problem apparently because they tell everyone to check the settings. I doubt I will ever buy anything from these people because they don't back up their products or offer solutions.
