Kenmore' F2 or F3 usually points to an open oven temperature sensor. If that is the problem, it's not an expensive repair.

What does the warning error F2 mean?

the f2 code means the their is a problem with the oven sensor
the sensor is a electronic thermostat if you know where to find in to check it unplug it and insert meter leads set to ohms setting, at room temp. the meter should show between 1060-1100 ohms (in the midsts of this heat wave it may be up to 1150 ohms) if the reading is higher or lower than that the sensor should be replaced

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F2-E0 on your oven means that the keypad is shorted and to resolve this issue you'll have to replace the electronic range control/clock(ERC). Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

I have model # 91140161792, While cooking I heard an beeping sound and got a F2 code. what does this mean?

F2 means the temperature sensor has gone bad. It is thin metal about 4 inches long. Inside the oven up high on the back wall. Unplug the oven before you remove it.
You can test it with A ohm meter. If it reads less than 1050 or more than 1150 ohms it is bad. If it reads OK the sires or EOC are bad.

EO F2 on our Kenmore oven keeps coming up.

The "F2 - E0" error code means "Shorted keypad".

Remove power from the range, open the control panel and unplug the membrane switch ribbon from the control board.Reconnect power to the range and observe for an hour.If the error code reappear - replace the control board. If not - replace the membrane switch.

Oven showing F2 fault

tire, if your model starts with 911. the code stands for an overtemperature condition. I would start with the temp sensor, this is the probe inside the oven cavity, part # 334300. You can ohm it out, should be around 1100 ohms at room temp. This is for model number starting with 911. Catriver..post back.
