My Bosch Dishwasher is not drying my dishes now. The model number is SHE44C05UC.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, it seems that the heating element has failed. The dishwasher uses steam to heat the tub to dry the dishes. I suspect your dishes are also being washed in cold water.

To check this, please run a regular full wash cycle. Allow the washer to fill with water and run for about 10 minutes, then open the door and feel the water temperature in the bottom of the washer. If the water is cold, it's more than likely the heating element has failed.

There are other possible faults which would cause the element not to heat, but these often prevent the dishwasher from completing the cycle. If the water is cold but the dishwasher still drains the water at the end - and completes the cycle - the heating element has probably failed.

Please try this simple test for water temperature and let me know if you need further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric

Dryer

Had the same problem and the answer is to stop putting plastic in the machine ! It seems the dishwashers need the heat radiated from the Ceramic plates, stell knives etc to help dry. The plastic simply absorbs some water and then your dishwahser spends most of its drying time trying to get that water out again. Also Plastic doesn't radiate any heat to help. As soon as we stopped putting plastic plates and tupperware containers in, hey presto the dishes are drying again

Does not dry dishes

check 2 things, first make sure that the rinse dispenser is full of "jet dry" or some other type of rinse agent. it has to have some to be able to provide a "sheeting" to allow water to drip off the dishes.
the other is to make sure you are using the heat dry and your water at the kitchen faucet is above 120 degrees.
no heat dry and too cold of water can cause condensation to form and keep the dishes wet.

The water is not being heated, and dishes are not

Your dishwasher water line should be connected to the hot water line not the cold but that wouldn't keep them from drying. You may have a element burnt out or a thermostat bad

You dont really need it, when the washer gets done Open the door for a minute and let the steam out and shut the door dishes will then dry. the reason there still wet is because of the steam from the Hot water

No hot water, plates cold and dirty and wet

If you've installed it recently make sure the hot water tap was plumbed in and not the cold water tap, check the hot water tap temp in the house to make sure it's getting warm, there also should be a heating element located inside of the dishwaher that heats up to help the dishes dry at the end of the wash cycle, which is controled by a thermostat. If the heating element or the thermostat are bad your dishes won't dry.

Water not hot

Dishwashers are suppose to be hooked up to hot water. If you had hotter water it would clean just fine. 120 deg or more!

Dishlex dx 302 heat drying

Found I had no hot water in my Dishlex DX302 and did a google search and found this page.

My problem was found to be the same as the others; one of the solder joints on the relay on the control board had arced off.
You could see the burn mark on the board and cover where it had been arcing.

Soldered it back together, and now it seems to be going good again.
Now my only problem is a damaged door seal, which means a small water leak; I have used part of a rubber glove to bridge the gap, and it reduces the water leak.
