My psp umd door wont close properly, what is the problem

maybe something on the inside is moved because ive openened a psp before and the thing in the back of the screen is like a hook that holds the screen shut. or maybe the little thing in your umd door that holds that little closing thing broke off. u can solve this also by hacking your psp and running the games trough the M33 driver. =D

I want to load a game to my new PSP with 1gb memory stick

  1. Slide the open latch on the top of the PSP? system. The disc cover opens.
  2. Insert the UMD? with the disc label facing the system rear. Slide the UMD? down the metal guides and press down until fully inserted. You should hear a slight click, indicating that the UMD? is held in place.
  3. Close the disc cover.

Psp when game disc inserted makes funny noise.

hi shaky

fistly if your thinking of getting it fixed you'd be right
if you still have warranty on your PSP you can get it fixed for free
just find the booklet that came with you PSP and in the back there should be a number

ring them up and they will sort everything out for you

sounds like u messed up the laser on ur psp

hardest thing to fix because it is very hard to replace
(when u replace it the new umd reader it usually refuses to read too)

u should take it to a repair shop if u want to get it fixed

My psp screen broke

I am thinking that you are going to need to send your Playstation Portable into Sony. That is if you cracked the screen. If it is just a couple busted pixel's, then go to and Search up (Without quotes) "PsP Pixel Fixed App" Download one of your choice, and install on your PsP's Memory Disk. Hope it helped. P.S. If that fails, Run to the closest Game Store around where you live, and ask if they will Accept a Trade for a Refurbished one.

My PSP turns off in middle of stuff

it may be a temporary glitch.try to do it several times and if it's really showing consistently the same glitch, then there might be either a disc game or psp hardware problem.try to play other disc games on your psp console,if you don't encounter any problems, your psp console may be out of the woods.or use your nba 08 disc on other working psp consoles and see how it goes...if you encounter the same glitch, most likely, the disc is defective.i assume you have an official firmware on your psp.hope this helps.
