Annoying chirps when switching back and forth

My KVM switch makes annoying chirps when I switch back and forth. (either using hot keys or the select button on the switch) This is the 2nd one that I have switched out that does that. The one I am replacing didn't chirp. I need to turn that off and can't find anything anywhere on it. Thanks in advance if you can help!!

Re: annoying chirps when switching back and forth

First, not all KVMs 'chirp'.. We use mostly Belkin KVMs for our workstations and none of them 'chirp'.. Our server KVMs are very high-grade, and none of them 'chirp' either... lol, eh?

So, what brand are you using?

How do you switch back and forth between computers on the KVM-02

try [scroll lock] [scroll lock] [UP].
To fast clicks on scroll lock and then the up or down key on the directionkeys on the right side of your keyboard.

If you have a wireless keyboard attached that can prove to be a problem to.

AN IT person set up my computer so that I could switch back and forth between the old and new computer (Win 7). I click "Menu", Click the > arrow 6 times to select the appropriate bos, I then select...

On that model of KVM switch, making sure Both computers are on, you should only have to hit the "Scroll Lock" key twice, then hit the up arrow to switch between computers. like "tap-tap" on Scroll Lock key then "tap" on the up arrow key. See if that works.

Can't switch ports using PC keyboard

Make sure that your keyboard is connected to the keyboard port of the switch. The USB ports on the switch has pictures that indicates where the keyboard and mouse should be connected.

The hotkey combination is CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + Port no.(1,2,3 or 4) + ENTER

Note: "tap the keys one at a time and not at the same time"

Switch starts switching back and forth between computers itself

There are no firmware updates for the GCS62 also the KVM appears to not have a firmware upgrade port. If the KVM is auto-switching have you tried hitting the ESC key or Space Bar? That should stop the auto switching.
