1. You should be able to use your grandsons google act username and password to unlock.
2. Do a factory reset. And this is how.
Turn off the phone > Hold and Press Power keys + Volume down key at the same time for about 12 seconds > Release keys at "Permanently Erase User Data & Reset Settings?" > Press Power key to comfirm > Press Power key again, then just wait till the reset / master / hard reset finish it process.
Hope this helps :)

All Nokia phones (Nokia 7610 and newer) have four different SIM locks which can be used to lock the phone for up to 4 different providers. But most phones with restriction only have one lock activated. (Lock 1)
The main code used in Nokia 7610 phones is : #pw+(master code)+Y# This code is able to check, activate or remove Sim card restriction (SP-lock). Use the * key to get the p, + and w chars. 'Y' has to be 1,2,3 or 4 - depending of what lock you what to deal with.

(master code) is a 10 digit code, based on the phones IMEI number.
Eg. To remove restriction on lock 1 type following code: #pw+(master code)+1# If you just want to check your phone use 10 random numbers Eg. 1234567890 as the (master code) eg. To check if phone if restricted on lock 1 type the following code: #pw+1234567890+1#

Enter the admin mode (U-5) by holding down the Panel Reset key for 3 seconds (until "U- " appears in the display), entering the number 5 from the keypad, and pressing the start key. Enter the 6 digit administrator code and press the start key again. The display should show "Ad-". Enter 1 from the keypad and again press the start key. The display should read "0". Hit the clear key, enter "1" and hit the start key yet again. Hit Panel Reset several times (or turn the machine off and back on) to return to normal operation.
The default administrator code is 000000.
If you do not know the administrator code, it will be necessary to reset it using the tech rep mode. Enter the tech rep mode by pressing the Meter Count key and hitting "Stop - 0 - 0 - Stop - 0 - 1" quickly. Then hit 7 and the start key. The administrator code will flash. You can write it down and use it, or hit the clear key and enter a new code, then the start key. Exit as above.
1) If you have locked the SIM, and forgot the password, after trying it wrong for 5 times, it will ask for PAK-1 or PAK-2 code.
These codes are generally written in the packet that comes with the SIM-CARD.
If you can not find the PAK-1/2 for SIM Card, please contact Hepdesk over phone and they will provide you.
Again, if you enter PAK-1/2 key wrong three times, your SIM will be blocked and you have to take a new SIM-CARD (you will get the same number) for which your service provider may charge you 2$ to 4$.
2) If you have blocked your Handset with Security code, and forgot the password, take it to service center and it can be easily flashed by them.
