Question about HP LaserJet 4250n Printer
The fuser assembly is part of the HP Maintenance Kit. The HP part number is Q5421A. Be sure to use the one for the 4250. The 4200 and 4250 are so very similar but the maintenance kits/fusers are differnet. The 4200 is less expensive but can not be used. It fits but causes other issues.

The 4250 uses an "assembly" that does not use fuser oil. The fuser is housed in the rear of the printer. It applies heat and pressure to the paper as it exits, melting the toner into the fibers of the paper. Some fusers are remanufactured. If done properly, with the proper amount of fuser sleeve grease, these fusers can last as long as the original equipment fuser.
If not properly trained, fusers should not be disassembled and rebuilt.
