i have a similar problem with my tv. i pulled the cover off the back and looked everything over. fuse is good. no other visible signs of damage. i called the only tv repair person 40 miles away and they want $60 just to look at it and another $100 to take it to their shop and deliver it when the bill gets paid. what a rip off i thought but a friend of mine told me it's most likely the power supply so i'm gonna call panasonic and see what it'll cost for one!

The other night while watching the tv turned off by itself.

There are two usual causes for this. One is the convergence integrated circuits have failed. The second cause is slight leakage of one or more picture tubes.

This TV has reached the end of its (short) life. Needs to be replaced.

You can try looking at what kind of TV it is, what model, and look at the manufacturer's web site, check for the manual, look up what it means when the green light flashes. Might be a code that means something but I think the TV is dead.

Power button Flashes

For the first one, please list the model number and count the blinks. Also, can you please post each problem separately. It will get too confusing trying to address 3 sets with different but similar problems.

In all likelihood, the TV's Main Power ON/OFF switch is faulty. Get it replaced.

This may denote a proble in either your switching powers supply or your Horizontal section derived high voltage power supply. These are both very dangerous sections in your television. My next question is important; do you have a background in electronics? If not I would not advise you working on this problem yourself and that you take the TV to a repair shop for servicing. If you do have some background in electronics, I would like for you to make the following obeservations: What was the TV doing (it actions)prior to it going out? Did you hear any sounds before it went out like buzzing or crackling? What do you hear when you try to turn it on now, clicking? These questions are just to develop some background into what might be happening to your set. Thank you, Shuttle83
