Question about Dell 946 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Kodak all in one printer

My printer only prints headings and pictures but not the text.
Can any one help please.

There's a problem on the black nozzle since you can only print text on double strike, try deep cleaning the printhead 3x

Print head needs replacing, appears to be a common problem with these Kodak printers, if new it should be covered under warrenty although good luck trying to get through to Kodak, I sent mine back in the end for a refund as long term print heads are expensive and they don't appear to last long

KODAK 5300 PRINTER IS PRINTING PICTURES WITH A PURPLE TINT TO THEM

Clean the print head then print a demo sheet.

  1. Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
  2. On your desktop, start the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, then select the Help [?] icon.
  3. From the Help menu, select Maintenance, then select Print head Cleaning. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
  4. When the On/Off light glows a steady green, press Photo and Copy simultaneously to print a demo sheet.

If the Demo print is bad- IE: no black, blurry print etc., then you may need to replace the print head:

Hi i have a kodak ESP 5 printer and having a problem with it. the printer and computer display printer error 3802 after i print my first picture, could you please help me with this. many thanks keiron


try and reseat the print head twice........to check how to take out and put in print head you may visit www.kodak.com/go/printheadsupport . If you still get that same error then its for print head failure and just need to contact Kodak.........

Color of the picture printed out is not the same as the printed


Your printhead has failed. Call kodak for a new one. They are aware of the problem.

Kodak Easyshare 5100 Wont Print In Color Or Black


For all of those problems, you need to replace the Printhead. This is one of the most common issues among the Kodak All in One Printers, they simply stop printing text. However, it seems that Kodak is sending out some new printheads that work so much better, so you should get in contact with their support and have them replace their printheads. Kodak 5300 series printer/is not printing black and white that is legiable


There is a known problem with premature failure of the printhead. I called Kodak support at 1-800-421-6699. They will go through a short procedure with you, and then should offer to replace the print head free of charge. After I called (no wait, and an native English speaking operator), I received the replacement in two days.
