Question about BenQ SP830 Projector

1 Answer

When I press the power button, the projector doesn't come on

Hi to all. I have been using a Benq SP830 projector and it has been working well until yesterday. Actually the last time I used it was in July and when I tried to use it yesterday, it will not come on. When I press the switch button, nothing comes, but I hear a repeated slight noise coming from the inside. I really need help to fix this.
Thank you

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Disconnect all inputs to the BENQ and power on. Do the lights come on as per normal operation. Does the lamp come on when the power button is pressed. Does anything show when the menu is selected.

Hi!

No you don't need a driver, connect it using a VGA Cable, then press FN Key at the same time with Fkeys that has a monitor screen Icon on your keyboard.

Hope this helps.

Blue screen

Hi Guys,

I recently struck this issue with one of our PB6100's. To resolve I did the following:
  1. Enter service menu (found on AVForums): PRESS AND HOLD UP BUTTON UNTIL LAMP HOURS ARE DISPLAYED, PRESS THE POWER AND BLANK BUTTONS TOGETHER
  2. Under the Fan menu select "More Options". You should then be in the "Fac7 Submenu".
  3. Select "Hard Reset". Note that this will reset the lamp hours also!
  4. Power off & then on again. Test input.

The above worked for me. Hope it helps.
