Brown stains/lines on my washing

If it's a front loader it may be coming from the rubber door boot. Take a rag and rub the boot and see if it discolors the rag. If so replace the boot. 12 year old rubber (although awesome) is probably breaking down structurally.
If it's a top loader it could be oil from the transmission. I'm not that familiar with F&P machines but i have top loaders in my laundromat that can do this and i suspect most are capable. Likely you could identify them as oil spots though. They do not leave lines. Hope this helps. I could probably tell you more if i had the full model number that is on the machine (usually on the inside of the lid or door or the back along the top.)

My ge adora wont pump in water an the wash light does not come on

Remove the lower kick plate on the front of the unit. You will see a "drain boot" going from the tub to the pump. Remove the boot and check for any obstructions in the boot and also while the boot is off, reach into the tub opening to see if there is anything stuck in there.
Here is a picture of the boot.

Be sure to have some towels handy as there will be some water in the boot.
If that is clear, you will then need to check the door lock assembly to be sure a wire did not come loose and then check it for continuity.
Post back your findings to me.

I have a GE front loader washer that leaks from the bottom sometimes. It is not leaking from the inlet or drain hoses. Small weeping from bottom near the front. Are they prone to this? Does it happen...

Hi, Open the door, and with a flashlight carefully inspect the rubber boot between door and tub pulling it back. You are looking for a cut or tear at the bottom of the boot. Hope this helps.

Leaking water from my lg front loader during washing cycle- wm2487hrm

Hi,

The problem is due to the rubber boot is been torn that is causing you the leak. You have to check the rubber boot for leaks by removing the clamp assembly that secures the rubber boot to the outer lip of the door opening. Peel off the rubber boot then inspect it for any holes where it may be leaking. The rubber boot in your washer can be accessed only when you remove the front panel. This requires the removal first of the top panel then the console. Also check your inlet hoses on the outside of machine, also check the connections inside the panel in back.

Thank you !!

Where do I find the serial number/ model number on my front loader?

If this is a Kenmore front loader, the serial number is on a nameplate tag around the door opening along with the model number. You need to open the door to see it. I hope this helps you.

GE Front Loader rubber boot completely out of shape

You can replace the rubber door seal yourself if you are logically minded and are handy with tools. Isolate the washer from the mains supply. Remove the top fixing screws at the back of the washer. Slide the top of the washer to the rear of the washer and remove. Now you will be able to see the outer drum and the securing band to the drum. This needs loosening and moving clear of the outer drum so you can disconnect the seal from the drum. When you open the door, you will find see that the door seal connects to the washer outer body. You should see a holding catch probably made of plastic. This has to be removed and take care not to break anything. When re fitting the seal, you will find on the front inner edge a small hole, this must be in the 6 o'clock position. Working from the door access, feed the new seal on the outer drum and secure it with the retaining band that you removed earlier, at this stage do not fully tighten as you may need to readjust the seal later on. Now working at the door, feed on the door seal and position the small hole at 6 o'clock. If you find that the seal is twisting, then you will have to readjust the the seal on the inner outer drum. When everything is lined up, tighten the inner securing band then the outer retaining band by the door. Recheck that the small hole on the door inner lip is at 6 o'clock and both the door an outer drum securing bands are tight. This done, check for leaks by part filling the washer and then putting the washer on an emptying cycle. If all is well, then isolate the power to the washer and refit the the top of the washer and secure with the screws you removed earlier. On no account put your hands or tools inside the washer when it is on and connected to the power supply.

I have not yet replaced a door seal on your model of washer, but I have done quite a few and the process is the same. I hope you can follow these instructions and if you come across a snag, think about it and i am sure you will find the solution. You can always get to me at FixYa.

Door seal on GE Adora Washing Machine

After going through 2 different places that sent me the wrong part, I finally got the right boot seal today from Home Depot Appliances. I just gave them my model number and they overnighted the new boot seal to me, and for only $100. To call a GE repairman, it was going to cost $70 in the trip and $170 for the seal. Rip Off. We did it ourselves. Saved a lot of time and waiting.
