If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

Also, There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

**Water temperature Note***

To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.

Concerning the Film.(Disregard if this is not an issue)

This problem occurs due to excessive calcium build up inside the dishwasher. Try cleaning you dishwasher using a dishwasher cleaner.

Detergent doesn't dispense.

Water will clean carpets but not very well. For the best results don't put any cleanser in your machine. Soap can clogged up the lines in your machine. When you have soap dispensed or or in the water in your machine you are squirting it onto the carpet and sucking it back up at the same time...the soap and water isn't on the carpet long enough to clean well unless you keep going over the same area many times. To clean better it's really important to vacuum thoroughly going slowly in multiple directions to get as much dry, gritty soil and hair and dust out as possible, it's easy to get these soils out when the carpet is dry if your vacuum is working properly. Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum.
Get a spray bottle or sprayer and put hot tap water in it, add the cleaning solution to the hot water and spray enough on the carpets to get the face fibers damp...let the hot water solution sit on the carpets 5 or 10 minutes and then use your machine to clean and rinse the soap, water and loosened soils from the carpet fibers. Repeat if necessary. Your carpets will be cleaner because you allowed adequate dwell time for the soap and water to work on the sticky greasy soils attached to the carpet fibers and stay clean longer because the soap is rinsed out of the carpets. Your carpet cleaning machine will last longer too because the water lines, pumps, spray jets, heaters, etc can't get clogged with soap gunk if you don't put soap in it. The method I'm describing is how the best professional carpet cleaners clean carpets. Hiring a quality carpet cleaner cost more up front but the carpets may stay clean two or three times longer, saving a lot of money in the long run. If you clean your carpets using this dual process method you may do a better job with a small portable home or rented cleaner than hiring the average carpet cleaning professional who is trying to give you the lowest price.

My rowenta steamer is not producing steam but tubing getting hot when I turn on steamer. Suggestions?

see this causes and fix it. God bless you

If the iron heats but steams improperly, inspect the soleplate and clean the vents (see below) and flush sediment out of the steam chamber .

If the iron produces too much or too little heat, test the electrical cord . Also test and, if needed, adjust calibration of the thermostat .

If the iron does not spray properly, inspect and clean the nozzle.

If the iron leaks or spits, clean the steam vents, nozzle, and tank.

If the iron sticks to fabric, clean or repair the soleplate. If the iron stains fabric, clean the soleplate, clean the tank with a commercial cleaner, and use distilled or filtered water.

Rust coming thru pores on sole plate?

You need to get a iron cleaning product to clean your machine. In the future, use ONLY distilled water in your Iron. Distilled water has been turned into steam (leaving all the minerals in the boiler) and that steam condensed back into water so it is absolutely free of minerals (that is what is coming out of your Iron).

Sum up: Clean it using a product designed to clean steam irons. Don't use tap or bottled water - ONLY distilled water.

Get the distilled water at your super market or auto parts store. Get the Iron cleaner where appliances are sold or at your local hardware store. You may have to ask for it.

Thanks for your question.

My Bosch SHX56BO6UC14 is not getting the dishes clean at all. It's making a grinding sound. It is pumping water & spraying water, but not getting anything clean. help?

Hi

If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound.

If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush. The water temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes. Hope this helps...

Cleaning the blades of my Electric razor

The smell that you are noticing is a mixture of decomposing skin particles, skin oil and hair. This is because you are not getting the blades clean enough.
Philips (Norelco) has been introducing all of their shaver with the ability to clean them with water, however, this is not a very good way to clean them because the oil in your skin that collects on the blades does not easily clean out with water. If you must clean with water, make sure the water is as hot as will come out of your faucet. A better way to clean it is with rubbing alcohol because it works better and will help kill germs which may cause smell.
Of course, the best way to clean the shaver heads is to remove them individually and brush them out thoroughly. However, Philips made it impossible to remove the blades on the Arcitec models. The Arcitec modelsare simply designed very poorly for cleaning.

If you are unable to thoroughly clean the heads, you may elect to replace them. It is suggested that they be changed every 12 months. You will find replacement heads at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

My dishwasher was working fine until yesterday, now it doesn't seem to use all the soap, I tried 2 times and there was still soap left over.

Hello there:
It doesn't get the dishes clean dot_lineone.gif 1. No water
Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the watershut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water tothe dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fillcycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at thebottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), inwhich case replace the water valve. There are also screens and filters that need to be cleaned to ensure proper operation so please check these as well

2. Not enough water
If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. Thiscould be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (locatedunder the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at thebottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

4. Water temperature is too low

Hoover steamvac won't spray water/cleaning solution

Clogging of the pump that sprays water/cleaning solution is very common in Hoover and Bissell Steam Vacs. Try running a cycle of 1part vinegar or CLR to 3 parts warm, distilled water through the vacuum pumps. The heads get clogged with soap and the water pumps get clogged at the opening of the flash heater due to minerals in hard water. If you want to extend the life of your steam vac, don't use the heater unless you are using distilled water. This can get expensive, so I recommend not using the heater.

I get a check water tap error 2 to 4 times a load

I have this problem. This code is due to restriction of water flow. In my case, we have sand in our water, and I have installed a filter between the water line and the washer. When it gets clogged, the flow is restricted and the Check Water Tap message appears. Your washer has filters on the back of the washer itself that may be clogged and need cleaning (which is why I installed the water filter between the washer & water line to prevent it from getting into the washer filter). Your washer manual shows you how to check/clean them. Also, you may have low water pressure during summer months due to lawn watering in your area that could cause this lower water pressure.
