Question about Canon PIXMA MP600 all-In-One InkJet Printer
It is a fatal error for the scanner. You will need to reinstall the applications and driver on your pc which you can find from the following Canon Support link
Install all the apps and driver that is relevant to your operating system and try again. If this fails then you will need to get a new scanning mechanism.

The scanner lock switch may be in the locked position. Lift the cover and check the slide switch located on the top front left. If this is not the problem, you will have to have a service center look at the problem.
