Magnetron

If the microwave is loud or noisy only when cooking, the magnetron tube might be defective. The magnetron uses high voltage, high current DC power to generate the microwave frequency that cooks the food. Under normal circumstances the magnetron is nearly silent. However if it is damaged or nearly burned out it can begin emitting high pitched or growling noises. It's not normally dangerous to use a microwave oven when it makes these noises, but they are an indication that the magnetron is almost dead and will need to be replaced.

Stirrer Motor

If the microwave is loud or noisy the stirrer motor might be worn out. The stirrer is a metal blade which slowly turns around, deflecting the microwave energy in a random pattern inside the microwave oven. As the motor nears the end of its useful life it begins to make grinding noises. The microwave will not heat food evenly without this stirrer, the motor should be replaced.

Faceplate of door by lower L/H hinge cracked. How do I remove the door to replace the Faceplate?

Front doors are attached inside the microwave at the top and bottom of the oven cavity. Top case has to come off using, likely, security torx screw drivers.
Remove the top hinge.
Remove the bottom hinge.
Door falls off.
Replace the front panel of the door.
Reinsert the lower hinge with the door, close and latch the door.
Holding the door firmly to the microwave, tighten the door hinge. Replace the top hinge.
(On some units, both hinges need to be installed at the same time. Use masking tape to hold the lower hinge - makes it easier.)

Mod # JVM1653WO001 turn table not turning

On some microwave oven models there is a switch on the front panel that enables the user to turn the turn table on or off. If you do not see this feature on your front panel display, you probably have a problem with the motor that drives the carousel. This problem is commonly caused by a turntable motor that has worn out and needs replaced. The following link explains how to access and replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3555716-replacing_a_turntable_motor_on_a_microwa

This is a very simple repair, that usually is not expensive. The motor usually averages about $35 - $40, but the price also depends upon the model. This repair can also be performed on an over the range model microwave oven WITHOUT uninstalling it.

I believe your model number is actually "JVM1653WD001". This is the closest number I could find that compres to the number you provided. You can usually purchase replacement parts at the any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

The first three sites listed offer helpful exploded view diagrams to assist you in parts location/identification. If the model number is correct, the part number for a replacement is WB26X10038. You may also consider replacing the turn table shaft. This is what connects to the turntable motor and the carousel plate rests on. The part number is WB06X10138. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

For the model number you have listed, the part number is 46-841666-3.

You can purchase replacement parts at searspartsdirect.com.

The site also offers helpful exploded view diagrams to assist you in parts location/identification. The motor is listed at item 001-20 under the "Cabinet" heading. If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: You also consider the turn table coupling, which is item 004-22. The underside of the coupling has a keyed slot that fits on to the turn table motor shaft. If the coupling becomes cracked, or if the keyed slot "rounds out", it may be slipping on the motor shaft and not turning.

My Touch pad does not work, can someone help? kenmore mocrowave model 721.62624200 microwave buttons work sporatically. if i push in a downward motion they work sometimes microwave blew a fuse a couple of...

It sounds like the keypad is worn out. The fact that you can get them to work sometimes by what direction you push on them, tells me that the contacts are not working correctly.

Did you have this problem prior to the fuse blowing or did it start after you replaced the fuse?

I don't believe the fuse blowing is related to the keypad problem. I also don't believe that you have a microprocessor problem because you say that the function buttons work but the number keys don't work right. If the microprocessor was faulty, it would not be able to read any of the keys.

The fact that the number keys are not working doesn't surprise me. When you go to cook something, you will press the number keys several times, while only pressing start or stop once. This is why your number keys have worn out first. These keys have a limited number of cycles (presses) and it sounds like its time for a new keypad.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good Luck!

Key Pad only works on some numbers. Others do not respond when pushed

Unplug the unit. Generally, remove the screws inside the door that hold on the faceplate. Inside, it will become rather obvious how to detach the keypad from the main circuit board. Note that some of the screws are longer than others. Carefully unplug the wire loom from the board. Note that these plugs have a small movable section. Flush to the board is lock...up is unlocked. Make sure when you push the loom in that the section is up...then push it down. By the way...before you buy a new part, unplug each connection related to the key panel and reinstall. It may just fix it.
