Tatung V30DMTT 29.6 in. LCD Television

No picture

Everythng works fine for a few seconds then the picture goes black - sound is still fine. When I change channels the picture will come back on for a few seconds then go black again and again. Help. Thanks.

I have this problem too, but my LCD display is branded as "Evesham". When I googled the model number, it came up with this Tatung model - which looks identical.

Anyone actually know how to swap-out the backlight?
Anyone know where in UK I could get this done?
What sort of price am I looking at - would it cheaper to buy a new display?

This is most likely your Backlight on its way out. Try looking closely at the screen to see if you can still see a dim picture if so then I am 100% sure that is the fault.
