I have a piece broken tape in the radio and cant remove it with long tweezers .Dodge Ram Van 1500 year 2001

common issue is mice and squirrels, check the wires from the cab to the tailgate, more than likely a chewed wire, they do it to try to stay warm.

2001 dodge 1500 van, headlights stay on always.


It the multi-function lever (turn signal) . When you pull back the handle ,this turns on the high beams headlights and indicator on the dash.

More info needed. Is it just a radio, a radio with a tape player/CD? What year is the truck? Is it the original radio? Most original radios have the amplifier built into the radio.

If this is a van you will remove the cover from inside the van. The center cover comes out and you will have full access to the engine. Your manual should show you how to remove it but it is usually very simple. Hope this helps.

remove the unit and check your wiring harness dodge uses a two part factory harness if the plug with all the speaker outputs came undone it would still turn on and function normal but you'd have no sound.
