How do I adjust the Moen M5350 assembly to raise the water level in my toilet tank

To adjust the height of the fill valve, twist the threaded shank in or out of the valve body. The height of the Fluidmaster 400a valve adjusts from 9 to 14 inches. On some models a clicking noise will be heard when adjusting the height, this is normal.

After tank fills up, water continues to flow a little. How do you fix it?

Is the water flowing into the overflow? If so adjust the water level. Have you checked the shut off seal inside fluidmaster? If you just installed could've jogged some sediment lose in the line and plugged the seal if older could have a bad seal.

We replaced our 3 toilets with the Fluidmaster 400 and have had problems ever since. All the toilets are running water every 5 to 10 minutes and my water bill has doubled. What can we do?

Hello- If you replaced old ball and rod set with new fluidmasters they will most likely need to be adjusted, not all toilet tanks are of equal height. You will have to adjust water height, meaning you must keep water level below fill tube located in center of the toilet tank. Adjustment is done from bottom of the fluidmaster, they screw in and out to adjust height. You will notice threads along the bottom part of the fluid master, on the inside of the tank, they adjust up & down! Goodluck!

Fluidmaster toilet fill runs when toilet tank is full

If there is nothing wrong with the fluidmaster, it probably needs to be adjusted, sounds like it is running down thru the overflow tube!

My toilet tank has a Fluidmaster. It does not always shut off after tank has filled with water. Seems to be sticking. Is there an adjustment I can make or should the entire Fluidmaster be replaced?

This happens over time and also more often if you have hard water. Using cleaner tabs actually make it worse. You need to change it out. Hardware stores carry a direct replacement. I think it was a Fluidmaster 400A model that is identical to yours.

I installed a new complete Fluidmaster and filled it up with water but when flushing water comes out under the tank not under the toilet though.

probably needs a "doughnut" tank washer under tank..or try tightening the tank bolt..fluid master comes with a little rubber hose that goes to overflow tube

How can I adjust the water level in the tank?

With a standard Fluidmaster fill valve, on the side of the float there is a rod that controls the depth of the float. On top of that rod is what looks like a phillips head on a screw. You can use your fingers usually, but if you would like you can use a screwdriver, simply move the float level up and down by screwing either clockwise or counter clockwise to change the level in the tank. Flush a little water after making the adjustments to guage the water level when the fill valve shuts off. Good luck

I have fluidmaster in my mancesa toilet. After flushing the toilet tank doesn't refill unless I turn off the water supply and turn it back on. What do I do to fix this problem. Wayne

First thing to do is figure out if the problem is with the fluidmaster or with the shutoff valve. If the water doesn't run at all after flushing, then instead of cycling the shutoff valve, just loosen the nut where the supply tube attaches to the fluidmaster (under the tank). If the problem is in the fluidmaster, it will start to squirt out at you, otherwise it won't. Then you know what to disassemble and attempt to repair, or replace.
