Question about HP Media Center m1270n (PP132AA#ABA) PC Desktop
I always hear 1 click when my computer turns off. Sounds like a relay or somesuch. This is normal. Now during regular operation I hear this clicking sound going on and off, the computer freezes and then I get the BSOD referring to hardware failure.
I opened the PC and checked to see if the clicking sound was coming from the harddrive or the modem but it is not coming from there. Perhaps some type of relay problem on the motherboard? I cannot locate the clicker! This happens once or twice a week and my computer is on almost all day, every day. Any thoughts?
There are very few mechanical parts in cpu...some of them are cpu fan. smps fan chassis fan hard disk motor or cd drive.......as you were talking about click...i doubt on cpu fan also clean the processor and coolant as there might be dust in it that prevent the cpu fan to cool down processor this might be causing system freeze....do reply back if this solves your prob
