Question about Televison & Video
If you're on cable, there is a set up menu on the cable box that specifies what format the image displays. Basically here's what's going on. Some shows are broadcast in HD and some aren't the non HD broadcasts will display with a boarder on the right and left side of the screen, Some broacasts say they're HD but they still broadcast in what is called "letter box" which means the square TV type image. the way around this is there probably is an option either in the cable box to force 16 x 9 display, or there should be a format button on the remote that changes the image format to "wide" or "stretch". That's what you're looking for. Hope that helps.
