-AC means it's not getting power from the furnace. the problem is at the furnace not the thermostat

Testimonial: "It's now working. The problem was indeed in the power supply, not the thermostat. Thanks so much for your help."

I just finished changing the 3 AAA batteries and now the themostat does not work so... how do reset my honeywell digital thermostat? to get it to work again

Found this for you:

Insert the batteries backward, so that the negative pole lines up with the positive terminal. Leave the batteries placed backward for at least five seconds.

Remove the batteries and put them back in the correct way, then close the battery door. The display will turn on. The thermostat is now reset

Could you please give me the code for a Lennox HG31ES air conditioner? I have just bought a universal remote and haven't got the code. Regards Lynda

I doubt a 'universal remote control' will work for air conditioning. They are for televisions and DVD players.

If it is one of these, it should work out of the box.

My Honeywell Themostat is no longer controlling the systems after a battery change, but otherwise looks fine. Help!

The replacement batteries could be defective or installed incorrectly. Also, if the thermostat has to be removed from its mounting base for installation of replacement batteries, it may have been reinstalled incorrectly.

What does -AC on honeywell chronotherm III thermostat mean?

AC means "air conditioning." If the AC icon is showing on your thermostat it means that your air conditioning is activated and should come on when the temperature threshold you've set on the thermostat is reached.

For example, if you've set the temperature level to 78 degrees, when the house temperature goes above 78, usually by about two degrees, the air conditioner should cycle on to cool it back down to 78 degrees at which point it will then turn off.

This information should be in your air conditioning/heating system or thermostat owners manual. If you don't have the manual, you should contact your air conditioning dealer or your builder to secure a replacement. The manual is essential for proper operation and maintenance of your system.

The display went blank on my honeywell t8600c thermostat. when the batteries were changed, the display shows the time and -AC. Nothing else functions

I believe this thermostat will display -ac if it loses power from the furnace or air handler. Your thermostat will operate on low voltage(same as your door bell) and constantly powers your thermostat. I would check your furnace breaker, and fuses to see if there is power to the equipment

Touchscreen is not functioning

First try replacing the batteries. I have a slightly diff honeywell model and it takes 2 "AAA" batteries. The battery holder comes out the side of the unit, just press where it says press and pull out.

Honeywell DT200 thermostat is not responding to any buttons pressed. Display is showing small flame icon on left of screen and what looks like a battery in top right hand corner. Any suggestions?

The thermostat is calling for heat, and the battery icon means that the batteries are low and should be replaced. If the thermostat is wired to run on battery power alone, replacing the batteries usually corrects this problem. Hope this helps! Jim
