Printer HP 2175 does not power up

Hi,

Perform a semi-full reset on the all-in-one by following the steps below >

  1. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the all-in-one.
  3. Wait 30 seconds and plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  4. Press the Cancel and Right Arrow buttons.
  5. While still holding the buttons, plug the power cord back into the all-in-one. Continue to hold the buttons for two seconds, and then release them .
  6. Allow the all-in-one to re-initialize. This may take a minute or two.
  7. If prompts appear in the all-in-one display to set the front panel language and country settings, perform the steps to set this information.
The problem should be corrected after performing thses steps .

SOURCE: FX 2175 printer

use the lpt (parallell port) not the USB. and be sure that your computer have the lpt port. if not, buy a pci one. recommend the use of windows xp. are you sure that your printer is FX 2175 or is FX2170?

SOURCE: HP PSC 2175 Printer reverts to "default printer" on PC re-boot

click on start ---settings----printer and faxes now from here u can make a default printer just right click on the icon of that print which u want to use and set it as a default print. or if u just want to revert back the current one just uncheck the option by right clicking on the icon

Check the default paper settings in the printer sofware, if they are correct then problem may be internal.
You dont mention whether it prints OK though.

Hello sir; Your machine need to reset; turn power on, open the cover when cartridge carrier move to the center ,the UNPLUG the power cord wait about a minute put power switch in off position, then plug in power, turn switch on.

Wipe the cartridge of cotton,don't use water.Make sure the black is not empty.

Printer won't work

Unplug the printer from the power and replug it in, the printer will go through its post(the little dance they do when they start up) and should come back to a ready status.

2175 printer

This is a typical error with the 2175 / 2100 series.
1.) Error comes up if ink in cartridge's ink level gets too low.
2.) The ink cartridge's copper contacts are dirty. Dirt you can't see. Clean contacts with alcohol & cotton swab's (not dripping).
3.) The carridge contact's need cleaning. (Same as above).
4.) The cartridge, (even though new, can be defective).
5.) You are using a "refill kit" of some kind to refill ink cartridge's.
6.) After 1-5, re-set the printer. Power off printer wait a minute & power back on.

My HP 2175 all in one printer won't print.

Hi there, Try this steps, -Turn off your PC -Turn on your printer -Remove your cartridges -once removed pul the power plug on the printer -clean the contacts with dumped alchohol 70% solution on cotton buds -once dry enough re-insert your power cord on the printer -insert your new cartridges -let your printer initiallize =================================== hope this helps let me know ok?
