If there are no wires do you have the sensors?

The air sensor usually hangs from the bottom of the jandy panel. It has a brown wire with a red and black wires inside. The water sensor is typically drilled into the discharge side of the pump.If you dont see these you will have to purchase the sensors.

Is the spa switch connected to the black/brown t. bar?

The t bar is located right in between the red and green t bar .If it is not there you will need one for the spa switch to work.red,6 blk,5 green,4 white,3 brown,2 blue,1 Sometimes the spa switch is shorted and unplugged for that reason. If you plug it in and things start randomly turning on your switch is bad.Go to jandy's website and you can see wiring diagram for the complete power center.

I have Jandy 8157 and one touch button unit in the house does not repond but the timers still works. I can control the unit from main pannel at the filter out side. Do i need a new mother board.

take the top front panel see if the red 4 pin connector is connected and tight if so check to see if the wire has been cut (sometimes by landscapers) if connected see if you have at least 10 volts or more at the plug if so check the red plug at the controller in house if not the same bad wire if 24 to 10 volts bad controller you can also try by system with jumper wire to see if it works

The display on the Jandy RS8 says "AIR TEMP SHORT" The sensor is reading the same resistance as the water sensor, (interchangeable) When reading resistance across pin 5&6 it is not the same as reading...

If you replace the sensor and get the same code, there is only one option before replacing the board...This only works on a board with one (4 pin ) red connector terminal. If you have two it won't work. On the back of the board, directly behind the "air temp" wire terminals, there is a small black diode with a silver stripe. This is a redundant circuit and isn't necessary. AFTER you turn off the power to the board, you can cut this diode off with some dykes.

We had an intense thunder storm and lightening the other night. My indoor Aqualink RS8 has a blank screen and is unresponsive. It apparently is not getting any power. The Spalink controller is blinking...

The circuit internally have gone short. There are many other facing this same problem. Some have got this indoor panel dead due to moisture collected on the indoor panels circuit board. The panel is not very strong to handle the humidity effect. It gets short. It has to be replaced. To get any other part and also the indoor panel board please click on the link below http://poolparts2u.com/products.asp?catid=0&scatid=27 ------ Thanks.
