Question about Compaq Deskpro 2000 PC Desktop
MY MONITOR WAS WORKING FINE UNTIL I OPEN UP MY COMPUTER TO REPLACE MY DISK DRIVE SYSTEM CAUSE MY GRANDCHID HAD BROKEN IT. SOME HOW NOW THE MONITOR WON'T COME BACK ON, I SEE A LOOSE PLUG IN THEIR BUT DON'T KNOW WHERE IT GOES ANY HELP ON THAT ITS AN COMPAQ DESK PRO FLAT BRAIN NOT TOWER

1 put harddrive in another computer then check for damage
2 check fan/usely the fan is worn out and cannot support the board any more and needs to be replaced
3 you disabled on board graphics. and need to erase everything to get them back
4 which beats three get the program floopy or disk that opens the bios or take it into a computer shop
5 reset CMOS battery, works alot
6 put in another harddrive to see what happens
7 replace moniter
8 your graphics burned out and need a new one
9you put in new hardware that is well messing with the mother board
10 you downloaded something bad!
11 A virus crashed your system
I have other seggestions but this should do

IT can also a problem with the processor.First change your memory card,if there is still no display,change your graphic cards if still the problem continue then try to the processor.

Try to listen on beep sound during system boot-up. single. beep means your cpu is working well.if something else, you need to open your cpu case, carefully detach the memory and/or the video adapter, get a soft paper eraser clean its terminals by rubbing it gently (need not to worry! using eraser on the memory chips will not erase your data!... :). put it back firmly and reboot your pc. hope it fixya!

Well then. First check all the connections, check that there is power.Using another pc check the monitor. If you have a graphics card then remove it and try the on board graphics.If that works there maybe a conflict with the graphics card, you can try reinstalling it or updating the driver from the internet.Also maybe the card is not seated properly. Hope this helps.
