Question about Projection Televisions
Have a Toshiba 42H83 that will not 'Touch Focus' - I can go in and manually converge it with no problem. I have also noticed that during the 'Touch Focus' that the red and green lines are nice and tight, were the blue line is not. I just replaced the convergence IC's with stk392-150 (had 110 in it) using the thermal grease etc. Any help would be great!
1)I have yet to learn any advantage to replacing -110's with -150's
I think there is a misconception that increasing numbers =
better, more durable results....Actually, using OEM or better
quality should be most important.Generics from any source
tend to be seconds, thirds, junk ! Name brand are first quality
2)Check B+ feed resistors next to convergence IC's = burnt ?
3)Solder wire jumpers on signal board = 008,010,017,600,etc.
