When thumd drive with music is plugged in nothing happensno sound usb port is not seen etc

There is two problems that it can be. If this is a laptop then your power settings may be set to turn of the USB to preserve power. If your usb ports are working fine, and you can test with another known working usb device, then your USB is dead. If it's dead you can read more about what to do when your USB flash drive is unresponsive There is about a 97% chance that you need data recovery, and you will need a company that specializes in USB NAND or Chip off recoveries. Hope your data was backed up!

Ps3 games will not load

*NOTE* some of the steps require you to open up your ps3 which will void warranty. so if your ps3 is still under warranty give sony a call for they'll fix it for free. also before you open up your ps3 make sure you can play downloaded games and demo thats on your hard drive. if you can do this then you know you don't have a problem with your nand chip which is a BIG BIG problem... read on

what you have is a problem thats hard to diagnose.

the easiest thing you can try is to clean the lens.

along with checking the cables that connect your drive to the motherboard and etc..

if that didn't work you can try replacing the whole drive --

*NOTE* if you do change the drive make sure you buy the right type

and also when u buy a new drive you will be getting the drive/moter/lens only and not the control board that is attached underneath . you'll have to put your old control board onto the new drive

hopefully you get your drive working after these steps if not you will be getting into more complicated fixes.

this is one of the sites that i come across alot that fixes

different ps3 problems
http://www.gophermods.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=7

still if that didn't work you may need to replace couple of things on the drive board which can get very technical. very technical because in 2 ways.

1) your ic chip -- which controls the dvd drive-- may be bad and you could try replacing that on your control board but that involves desoldering/soldering near many other component of the board. very trickly

2)if after you replaced the chip and it still didn't work you may have more than 1 problem on your control board in which case you just need a new control board but the thing is there is another chip that (the nand chip which holds the firmware of your ps3) is married to mother board and without that chip your ps3 will not read/load/operate any of the disk or downloaded games on your ps3 hard drive. so just swapping the control board won't work. So you'll have to buy a new control board and swap out the nand chip.

again very technical and not for a novice. even some repair shops send it off to do these fixes to a more specialist

if your ps3 is still under warranty its just best to send it off to sony and let them fix it for free. they cover your system for a year from the date of purchase. and you may or maynot get your original system back. check youtube for "replacing ic chip on ps3" or "replacing nand chip on ps3" you'll find that some people have actually fixed their systems.

Can watch downloaded movies, but can't play games or downloaded demos. when the game is inserted, it goes to a black screen and does nothing else

you have a serious problem there. have you had your ps3 worked on by anyone? did they happen to swap out the control board of your ps3 with another one? the problem you are having is a result of the nand chip not matching up with *********** board. from my experience what i have seen is this. sometimes the chips on your control board just go bad and other times a scenario follows -- a person has a problem with the disk not loading or what not so they try cleaning it. and if that didn't work they replace the dvd drive. and still if that didn't work they replace the control board. and once they do that they get the same problem as what you have -- you can download, surf the web, the psn, send messages with friends, etc... but they can't play games off of the disk or the downloaded demo off of the hard drive or go on playstation home. the problem has to do with the nand chip. this chip is located on your control board that is connected to your dvd drive mechanism housing. what most people don't realize is that this nand chip is married to *********** board and without it *********** board is useless and vice versa. this nand chip also hold the firmware of your ps3. unless you know what you are doing i highly advise you to send it off to a professional because it is very technical fix.

if it is still under the 1yr warranty from sony send it off to them so they can fix it for free.

if not you can send it off to one of the local repair shops. this is one of the sites i come across a lot
http://www.gophermods.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=7

either way you are looking at about $100 - $150 fix. you could try looking up ic chip replace or nand chip replace on youtube for some of those peple claim to have fixed the issue them selves. but its easy to fry your nand chip in which case you'll have to replace the whole mother board along with control board and that'll cost you just as much as sending it off to get it fixed.

My Nuvi 200 will not charge and the USB port

My condolences. I would suggest you plug the unit in to your computer's USB port using an appropriate data cable (in case you no longer have the Garmin data cable, there are lots of devices, including cameras, that use such a cable with the large USB plug at one end and the mini-USB at the other). That would give you a handle on where the fault lies -- in the auto charger cable itself vs the nuvi's socket. If the nuvi charges from your computer, you're halfway home; if not, I suspect the cost of repairing the nuvi's USB jack could exceed the cost of a replacement unit.

PSP Unbricking problems....

did you dump or restore nand dump saves current nand restore deletes current nand and replaces it with one saved on memory stick.if it is bricked it doesn't necesarily need a nand repair nand is when you have issues loading firmware or issues with umd drive menu bar. so if you can load a firm ware load it don't touch the nand till it does not allow a firmware update and if you have some glitches after firmware update try idstorage rewrite in the nand tools.

there is some downgrade tools there.

you can buy a mod chip and install it
you can buy a new motherboard

Youve at least corrupted your nand.
So you will need a pandora battery and a magic memory stick with a non corrupt nand for 3.90m33-2 (if you have a slim, then you must use a slims nand, fat must use fat).
put in the mem stick
put in the batt
click whatever button you need to to restore nand
turn it back on, if you have the BSOD, then you have corrupted your id storage keys.
If by some chance you used a key cleaner previously, then you have a copy of your specific storage keys.
You can reinstall them using the same method as the nand

if you dont have a backup of the id storage, you have to buy a new motherboard as the mod chip will not fix it

Broken calculator....loose piece inside

It sounds like you may have broken an important part of your calculator. You may have chipped the circuit board on the inside, because that is what had happened to my co-workers calculator when he had dropped it. He had to replace his entire calculator. You may have to replace your calculator as well.
