You probably need to install the drivers for it. Visit your manufacturers website to download it.

Hard drive cannot detect

First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

My LG External HDD XD2 Is Not detected By My Laptop & Other Laptops Also. It Is Displaying A Message" USB DEVICE NOT Recognise" PLz Give Me Solution for This,

Hi
Firstly, remove the external Hard Drive from the Computer and restart your machine. Also try a different USB port. If this does not work, try and connect it to a different computer. You can also try a different USB cable that is compatible with your External Hard Drive. If the problem persists you'll need to determine if the problem is with the enclosure or with the Hard Drive itself. Depending on your computer expertise, I would recommend removing the Hard Drive from the enclosure and connecting it inside the computer. If it works when connected to the computer internally your enclosure is faulty and will need to be replaced. If you still can't access the Hard Drive, then I am afraid the Hard Drive has gone bad and the Hard Drive will need to be replaced. If you are uncertain on how to do this. rather take it to your local computer repair shop and have them test it for you.

Computer won't power up. opened case to replace hard drive. After replacing the hard drive the computer would not power up. Reinstalled the old hard drive and still the computer won't start up.

Check your connection between the power supply and the motherboard. Is it possible that your power supply was getting weak instead of the hard drive you replaced? First check the power connection and then try another power supply. If a different power supply boots the computer then you know that it may not have been a problem with your hard drive. You didn't say why you replaced the hard drive.

Smart failure hard disk 4 :wd1600bevt-222ct0-(si)

The error S.M.A.R.T. refers to Hard Drive hard drive that has detected damage to the disk and failure of the drive is imminent.

If the computer is booting to Windows after the SMART error, then back up all data on the disk immediately. The hard drive will need to be replaced to resolve this issue.

Also, I suggest that you start the Computer to BIOS and check whether the Hard Drive is detected in BIOS.

If the Hard Drive is detected in BIOS, then try to perform reinstalling Windows supplied in your computer once before getting the hard drive replaced.
