Hi,

Raw is one of the formats you can take pictures in.(like jpeg) If you go into the menu and select Quality from the first menu, you can set the picture to RAW format.

Hope this helps!

I bought a cannon camera EOS 70D, when i use PhotoShop Elements 10, i cannot open the image if the image was taken in RAW.

Hi found a manual for PhotoShop Elements 10 here:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshopelements/using/photoshopelements_10_help.pdf
It is a pdf file which can be saved to disk for future reference and contains (page 53) a paragraph below:
"Prefer Adobe Camera Raw For Supported Raw Files Ensures that all the supported raw files are opened with Adobe
Camera Raw instead of other software. Select this option if you have added other plug-ins to Plug-Ins folder"
It may be that you have to load the relevant plug-in in order to load these files, or load this plug-in before attempting to load the RAW file.
Hope this helps

When I try to take photos in RAW with my Digital Rebel, it says that no photos are found when I try to download them. Why?

Dear Ruby,

The answer is simple. Your computer cannot read RAW images straight up. You need an intermediate platform.

I suggest try the Adobe Lightroom. You can find loads of tutorials on youtube.

http://www.digital-photography-school.com/processing-raw-files-in-adobe-lightroom

This link will help you out.

So, solution. Try a intermediate software, like Lightroom, or Photoshop. It'll allow you to process, view, and edit, RAW images. Plus this tool will allow you to make your pictures look magical.

Best of luck.

Regards,

Rebel

My canon EOS 400 D will not take a photograph. I have selected 'full auto' and when i press the shutter button the speed and f number are displayed in the viewfinder together with the number 9 at the right...

The flashing green dot is telling you that your settings aren't right for the conditions. You have to bring in the settings within range. As long as the dot flashes, nothing is set right. Put camera on auto mode. Then take a photo. look at what the camera set the f stop, iso, etc. That will help you learn to set manual settings in the right direction. I have a 30 d and it will do same thing if setting in the manual settings are not right.

Does the Eos 50d support wireless multi-flash

I have a Metz and a 50d and it does support E-ttl. The Metz is a bit less and it is more versatile than the Cannon and it does support slaves as well. I hope this helps you a bit. I got my Metz from Calumet Photographic. I am sure if you call them, they can tell you the answer.

Cannon lenses

All canon EF lenses (and compatibles e.g. Sigma EX) can be used with both analog and digital  EOS-bodies. Depending on the sensor size (usually smaller than a 35 mm negative) a crop-factor due to the smaller field of view must be considered.  Example: Canon EF 50mm/1.8 lens used on a digital EOS (40D, crop factor 1.6) equals a 80mm lens (50mm x 1.6) compared to analog cameras using 35mm film. Some digital EOS-models can also use EF-S lens-series.

RAW setting

Your camera must be on either Aperture priority (AV), Shutter priority (TV), or in Manual mode to change to this setting. I discovered the same thing. One thing you might to to is have it set to RAW + JPEG. You get two pictures in one shot and can quickly upload one to sites when you need it.
