Re: easy share 5300

To fix this problem, do the following:

1. Open up Kodak AiO Home Center.
2. Click on "?" on top right corner.
3. Click on "Maintenance" then click on "Printhead Cleaning"

You might have to do this a few times to clean out the printhead.

Kodak EasyShare 5000 series

Clean the print head then print a demo sheet.

  1. Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
  2. On your desktop, start the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, then select the Help [?] icon.
  3. From the Help menu, select Maintenance, then select Print head Cleaning. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
  4. When the On/Off light glows a steady green, press Photo and Copy simultaneously to print a demo sheet.

If the Demo print is bad- IE: no black, blurry print etc., then you may need to replace the print head:

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

Easy Share keeps popping up

Simple solution. Go to start, run, and type in sysedit. Look in each one of those few screens and delete any reference to Easy Share. then, Go to start, run, then regedit. Once in regedit, go up to the top and click on find. Type in Easy Share and hit enter. Each time regedit finds those words in a folder, right click on the folder and delete it. Then press F3 to keep searching. It may be in there 2 times, it may be there 50. Delete every file with that name. Once it is finished, restart the computer.

I own the kodak AIO 5300, I have not had it long, ive only had to change the ink once, I loved it at first but all of the sudden when I try to print pictures they either have a grayish or green tint to...

Have you tried a new print head? If the printer is new, the heads aren't as full as replacement ones. Ususlly you get half as much ink. Try a new head and see if the situation changes.

Green Tint Over Entire Printed Picture

I had a very similar problem and found out that the problem was the quality of paper I was using. Remember, a photo printer is expecting high quality results. Cheap, low quality paper will not accept the ink as well as higher quality paper. I can't guarantee this will solve your problem but I have not had any green tints since switching to a higher quality photo paper.
