Please help me in my kodak digicam, every time i turn it on , the digicam is automatically shutdown.... please help me

Make sure your battery is fully charged, clean the contacts on the batteries and inside the camera
If that doesn't work, try the suggestions on this site:
http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/11/simple-fix-for-dead-cameras-that-wont.html.
If none of those suggestions work, it could be a jammed lens. Try these steps:
http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
Even though the web page is titled "lens errors", it applies to stuck lens, also.
Good luck, hope this helps, and please rate this answer if it helped you.

When turned on I get a red light and a msg that says date and time reset but it won't do anything M863 Kodak

If the camera still remains on after asking for the date and time. Sounds like there is a firmware issue w. the camera. However KODAK doesn't provide a firmware update on the website.

So you will have to send the camera in in order to solve the issue.

However if the camera turns off:

Here are the steps:
1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera.
2. Clean the battery contacts.
a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera
3. Without the memory card, turn on your camera.
4. Pls test with an alt. batt.
If you do not have access to a dif. battery.
Pls. take the batt out of the camera. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the batt. If not you will need to order a No power repair.

My camera when swited on will switch its self off straight away

Its the lens that is faulty. Cam is designed to shut-off automatically when it is experiencing struggle extending or retacting the lens. Lens doesn't extend while reviewing pictures that is why it is not shutting off.

You need to send the camera for warranty.
Process it @ www.kodak.com/go/stepbystep
Or call Kodak Technical Support 1-800-235-6325 Ext #1 For English #12 Camera Dept. #2 For Service and Hardware Dept.
