How to remove front panel of Frigidaire Affinity ATF7000EG0?

I looked and it all looks pretty seamless. The front panel is all 1 piece, not like the
older ones that had the lower "kick" plate. I have the part map but it's hard
to see exactly which order things come off in.

I need to remove front panel to get to the coin/filter/trap thing. The filter that filters used/dirty water before it enters the pump. The front panel is all 1 piece, except for the door. There are no screws visible, it does not have the older 2 piece design, like a "kick" panel. I have the actual parts breakdown that shows every part but it is impossible to see exactly what comes off it what order.

SOURCE: How to remove Affinity front bottom panel? Catriver help?

I have an affinity 600es.. and the same problem.. I went through it yesterday.. There is no bottom panel to remove.. the only way in from the front is to remove the entire front panel, which first involves removing the top, then the control panel section and the liquids dispenser.. I got part way through it that way, and decided I didn't want to cut all the tie wraps and what not to fully remove the fro panel/door section.. so I put all that together and titled the unit on it's side (pump side down).. there is a large removable access panel on the back, and an always open smaller access port on the bottom next to the pump... I had to work at it with one arm in through the back, and one arm in through the hole in the bottom.. because of those stupid hose clamps they use...

No matter what, you're gonna have to remove the dryer from on top of your washer.. I'm really pissed off at frigidaire for this design.. I think it's on purpose to force paying service costs.. if not, then the engineers are just plain stupid.. this is obviously a periodic maintenance thing for these washers.. why couldn't they make some sort of easily removable filter for the thing.. maybe where all you do is remove the large back access panel and then there is a filter unit that has a threaded cap.. so that you're not fighting to remove a bunch of impossible to get to hose clamps and cursing the whole time..

if designed with the consumer in mind, this procedure could have taken less time that it takes to disconnect the hoses and power to move the unit.. but instead, I missed the entire cowpokes/gnats game yesterday fighting this thing.. way to ruin my sunday!

I'm not an engineer, but if they're too inept to figure it out, I can show them what they need to do, to make this a simple procedure that any housewife can do! If they care a smidgin about their customers, that is!

First of all check the motor.most probably its got weak so its spinning when empty but not spinning when there are clothes in the machine. It doesn't spin If your washer won't spin, check these:

It doesn't pump or spin
It pumps, but doesn't spin
It spins only with the lid closed
It doesn't pump or spin If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:

  • If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt.

  • If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

It pumps, but doesn't spin If your washer pumps out the water but doesn't spin, check these:

  • The lid switch may be defective. If it is, the washing machine doesn't spin. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

  • The motor coupler may be broken. Many Whirlpool®-manufactured washers use a small, relatively inexpensive motor coupling. It's plastic and rubber and is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. You may need to replace it.

  • A belt may be broken. Many washing machines have one or two belts. If a belt is broken or badly worn, you need to replace it with a genuine belt from the manufacturer. (Some washing machine belts are designed with special characteristics not found in automotive belts.)

  • The clutch may be worn. If your washer is a GE, it may use a clutch to come up to the proper spin speed. As the clutch wears out, it may prevent the unit from spinning well or at all. If the clutch is worn, you need to replace it. For this job, you probably want to hire a qualified appliance repair technician.

  • The drive motor may be defective. Many washer brands use a reversing motor. For agitation the motor runs in one direction, for spinning and draining, the other. It's possible for a motor to burn out in one direction and continue to operate in the other. If this happens, you need to replace the entire motor.

  • The transmission may not be shifting properly. Older washers produced by Whirlpool® have a transmission with an electro-mechanical shifter. If the shifter becomes even partially defective, the unit may drain the water but not spin. This is a complex system, if your washer has a shifter problem, you may want to hire a qualified appliance repair technician to repair it.

  • The spin bearing or basket drive may be worn or seized. These components allow the inner tub to spin freely inside the outer tub. When this is the problem, you usually hear a loud sound during the spin cycle. Call a qualified appliance repair technician.

It spins only with the lid closed For safety, washing machines are made so that they spin only with the lid closed. The lid switch prevents the spinning action when the lid is up.

How to replace the start button on a frigidaire affinity dryer aeq7000ego?

There will be screws along back at the top holding the top panel. Using the appropriate screw head screw driver you will have to get these screws out, lift the top panel slightly and push out towards the front. This should disengage the panel from the notch on the main body and come out. That will get you access to the console.

Frigidaire Affinity ATF7000E Front Load Washer won't stop spinning with 1 minute on timer- it continues until I hit cancel. I don't like to babysit a machine but have to make sure it doesn

If the unit is washing properly, as far as you can tell, but it won't stop spinning, then I would have a professional look at the control panel and timer to be diagnosed because there seems to be in miscommunication.

How do you remove display panel from frigidaire affinity washer

Pull out the detergent drawer, pressing the catch button in the rear of the drawer. There are a couple phillips screws through the panel around the drawer. Take those out. The display panel (including the entire plastic piece) is attached by plastic clips. Unsnap them by applying firm, controlled pressure along the top and sides of the plastic panel. Should come right out for you.

My trouble code is#E20 Does not spin all water out before the code comes on restart washer and spins still leaves water in clothes

Just fixed my brother's Frigidaire Affinity front loader with same problem. After checking hoses to see if they were blocked-they weren't-even though that is what the code sheet says...It means that something is blocking/stuck in the filter pump/coin trap. Pretty easy to repair on your own instead of calling a repairman. I am a pretty handy mom and all I needed was a pair of pliers (long nosed) and aPhillips screw driver. Get someone to hold the washer as it is tilted back as far as possible so that you can get a look underneath. The filter pump/trap is in the front right hand corner when looking at the washer from the front. As soon as you look into the hole that is on the bottom of the machine, you will see the black rubber piece. This is what you need to open up. I only opened up the screw clamp withthe screwdriver and then stuck my hand in and pulled out a sock! Then I checked inside with the pliers to see if there were smaller things. WATCH OUT FOR THE SMELL OF THE OLD WATER. I gagged for 3 straight minutes. The smell is disgusting, open a window beforehand. Some water may spill out, hold a towel to catch the fall. Then make sure you put the black rubber back securly on the plastic gray piece it attches to. Make sure all sides are covered. Screw clamp back on. Machine works like new now. First backwash of water (did a spin cycle to get out old water in hoses and machine) stinks.

Frigidaire Affinity washer

Suggestion:
Plug off the mains. You have to look for screws below the front kick-panel, the panel comes down & out. The pump is on the right side. Be prepared for dirty water. There is a drain hose here, disconnect & drain out. There could be a lot of water. Inside the big flexible tube (coming from the tub bottom) is the filter, be prepared to find all sorts of junk here, clean out. Examine your pump also, clean out the impeller. Carefully refit all. Your machine would be fine. Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter.
For some front loader models after removing the panel, the filter is in the compartment having the white screw able lid. The big hose from the bottom of your tub leads to this compartment.
