Riso Error T01-520 Drum Stuck

Hi I have a T01-520 error on my Riso RN2550. I changed the colour drum over to one that has not been used in a while and now it will not work and just errors when it goes to make a master. It also will not release the drum. I have tried looking through the service manual, rotating the drum manually and holding the little release switch under the drum to unlock it and it still will not pull out and stay locked! Please help!!

Hi, I can't see any other numbers on the error code. The machine was working perfectly until i put this other drum into the machine. Is there any way I can get this drum to release so that I can put the other one back in to see if it helps? Could it be something with this drum that is stopping the machine motor? I picked this machine up second hand so don't want to have to call in a service guy and would rather try and repair. Should I be able to rotate the drum from under the scanner unit? at the moment it wont budge!

Hi I have gone into the service menu and tried to release the drum using service number 556 but it is missing from the service menu. It has 555 and then goes to 557!. I also can't see the pins to see if they are damaged. Any further suggestions?

Try unplugging it for 5 minutes and letting it reset, this usually works for most electronic devices that dont have a manual reset...

T01-520 is not drum stick. All the All 520 errors refer to main motor lock/ motor limit sensor faults (T01 is fault that requires maintenance). Drum error is T01-520-520. In your case 520 is the problem code, not the area code. It is not the drum stuck, it is the main motor because there is a fault.

Replacing drum won't help , since the fault concerns the main motor.
It would be useful to know if there is an area code after 520.
Print this out, and read here how to check new Riso codes.

The drum does not release because the motor is not working.Check the drum connector on the drum side and machine side to see if there are any pins damaged.

To release the drum you have to go to service mode and use code 556.

to get to service mode you must hold the print position buttons < > down while you turn on the printer at the same time.
I must warn you that doing this procedure there is risk of more damage. Riso reccomends calling a technician when you get this code.

Before attempting service mode, try disconnecting power for two minutes, and power cycling the copier (restart it).

    Regards.

RISO RZ 990 Error code D17-237

i think your copier was not used for a long time , so the nozzles inside the drum unit are dry and blocked and you are getting d17 -237 , that over ink on one side of the drum and not evenly covered with ink . you need to take off the drum unit and if possible open it , take off the film , and get inside and clean the nozzles . if not , you will be forced to change your drum unit .

Riso- RZ220 codigo de error 18-531, el cilindro no se puede sacar .

The error code should start with a letter. Is it 'P'?
Error P18-531 means: Print drum lock is still ON even after 100 milliseconds after the print drum lock solenoid is activated.
Check te solenoid! Maybe it is defective or only stuck.

Error Code -534 on my Riso RZ 390. Drum is stuck in machine and won't release.

D04-534 means incorrect ink cartridge set. This could be caused either a) it IS the incorrect ink cartridge, or b) the RF tag that is struck to the end of the ink bottle is damaged. Try a new ink bottle.
Make sure to use RISO ink designed and made specific for an RZ230.

Drum stuck RISO RN2235ui

Hi,
assuming you have a RN machine
you should of removed the master on the drum by hand if it was not used for more than a couple of weeks, and wipe dry under the clamp.
To get the drum out, hinge up the top of the machine over the top of the drum there is another small door, it hinges up like the top of the machine.
At this point ensure that the drum is in the home position i.e the clamp of the drum is at 12:00 (on top). if not turn drum to that point by hand.
Then try the button again to release the drum. If that fails there is a small **** under the drum at the front door area. there is a catch there that holds in the drum which you can move to the side with a flat screw driver.

Riso GR3750 T1 error Drum Jam

I had this problem too: just unlock the hook under the drum; disengage the drum then pull out the drum; then check the home position if not in position open the behind cover, pull the belt until you get the puller to the home position. You will get the same problem if you will not put the main drum puller to the home position. chimuntu@yahoo.com

The hook is located just above the power supply once the back cover is off. Also there is a drum release centered under the drum that a screwdriver can disengage.
