Question about Canon PIXMA MX310 All-In-One Printer

Got a new laptop with Vista. Now my MX310 does not work anymore. My laptop can see my MX310 but but cant print. Changed to latest driver. Still nothing. WHAT NOW?

    Tried that too, but during updating I got an abnormal problem... What ever that may be.

    It looks like getting the data from the laptop to the printer does not function for 100%.

Try firmware upgrade, and if your using this on a network, make sure you have print sharing enabled.

    when doing the firmware upgrade, where you using the usb connection? and what type of abnormal problem?



    During a firmware upgrade, no errors should occur, and if so, the product may be rendered useless. Firmware is software stored on a static memory chip inside the unit itself. if the chip is not flashed properly, serious errors can occur.



    do not attempt to cancel or interrupt the upgrade process. it may take up to 2 hours to complete.



    Did it just seem to stop responding during the firmware upgrade and where you prompted with an error report?

    since you are currently having trouble using vista using this device, do you have access to a PC with XP to perform the firmware upgrade. I found in a few other forums, that this firmware update resolved some print function issues and faxing from VISTA issues. Vista could be interupting communications with the device while performing the upgrade. I would try to do it from an XP pc, if you can. If not, let me know and I will continue my research...

I can't connetc mx310 to my new computer. The computer is running windows vista. Do I need to download a seperate software ?


Hi,
The printer drives varies with OS, even if the printer is of the same model. So goto canon website and specify your printer model and OS, download appropriate drivers and install it in Vista. Then you are good to go.

Samsung r60 no wireless device anymore


Download "DRIVER MAX" it's free and will scan your computer, find installed drivers and hardware, then find the latest drivers for it. I have just changed from Vista (rubbish) to XP on my Tosh. The wireless card on mine is on the ethernet card so to use wireless I had to enable the ethernet card so that driver max could "find" the wireless card. You will be suprised, as I was, how many drivers you are using are XP default drivers. And how much better your laptop runs after just a few new drivers are installed.

HP laserjet 1300n won't print duplex from vista


in the printer driver setting there is option to turn on manual duplex printing.
Go to printer driver properties go to printing default under printing default there is a option called finishing in finishing print on both sides is mentioned select that option and i m sure it should work

Sleep/hibernate is a function of the video driver. so download and install the latest video driver from hp.com

The printer wont allow to print


If everything is hooked up correctly, then it may be your print driver (on the disc that came with your printer). My friend got a new laptop with a Vista operating system. His printer did not come with a Vista driver, and he couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work. I went online to the manucturer's site, downloaded the latest Vista driver and viola, the printer works just fine. Hope this helps.

MagiColor 2300DL Printing Wtih Vista over Wireless Network


I am using Vista 64 and a 2300DL in the same manner as abertola003. I downloaded the Latest driver from Konica Website and everything is working well.
the driver is named Konica-Minolta 2300DL (unidrv)

Check for the latest printer drivers for the printer from the manufacturer...

May need VISTA ready drivers...

yes sum old ones dont work well did u dl latest driver on cd from anther computer or plug it in to get latest wilress driver try windows update also if not buy nice new wilress n pcmia card linksys make s ok
