Question about Indesit WA 115 Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Our washing machine is stuck on the spin cycle. We let it finish, but when we try starting a new program it gets back to spin. The spin led is lit all the time. When we turn the on/off switch to stop, it just continues. I'm not sure which model it is, but it is a front loader and not too old.

I might have a different model. The machine doesn't respond to when I put the on/off switch to off. I can let it finish the spin, then it will stop. Lights will flash, but once I have reset a program or even if not, it will start to blink on the spin cycle again.

I don't understand the DOT or >dot part of the solution. Sorry to be so slow.

Washing Machine stopped through cycle and now will not turn on

Check the wiring harness, connections, contacts, etc. Look for some corrosion and loose connections. Also, check the water inlet for anything that may cause a reduction in water flow.

My F&P GW601 stops during final rinse, and beeps an error condition.

  • I just fixed a F&P GW612. There was a darning needle stuck in the drain motor pump stopping the propeller from spinning around. I fixed it for my mum by watching a couple of You Tube videos. Easy job to do. Took me about 1.5 hours including drawing out the water from the drum with a bucket & jug first. Lay the machine on a soft mat, remove the motor pump from underneath, clean it out. (You could find a foreign object such as a coin, cloth, rubber band etc.)
Put it back together & test if it's pumping out water at the rince cycle by doing a low water wash cycle. So happy, job done & I saved my mum some money!!

  3. Wait for 2 minutes to try the door. If helped click.

Doesnt go through programs

sounds like you have a bad timer or lid switch. does it finish a cycle but not advance or does it just keep washing or does it wash then stop and get stuck? if it just keeps doing one cycle like wash wash wash you would have a bad timer. if it washes then stops and gets stuck you have a bad lid switch. But then again if you had a bad lid switch it would never spin. What is the brand name of this washer?

Indesit wia111 stuck on spin cycle

OK - Try this:-

1. Position the dial on number 0 (off) and then unplug from the wall.
2. After at least 24 hours plug back in - hopefully the thing should have reset.
3. This is really important. Select a wool wash program (No 9) and allow it to complete the entire wash until the door lock light starts flashing to say it's finished.
4. Turn the dial back round to position 0 and all LEDs should go out.

That's it - The control board is reset and all should be well

In order to prevent re-occurance, try to avoid canceling programs mid-cycle. It's also a good idea to switch the dial to number 0 and switch the machine off at the wall when not in use if at all possible.

Please let me know if this works for you :)

Starts cycle and then stops

Jirina, first check to make sure that both the hot and cold water valves are turned on. If that's ok, check to make sure the lid switch is being actuated. Check those first...Catriver.
