Question about Toshiba Satellite A105 Notebook
I had a problem back in march where horizontal black and white lines would appear while i was working on my laptop and gradually got worse until the whole screen would go black. Then eventually I couldn't turn it on ( the fans would run for a second and then everything would turn off, screen completely black). Toshiba was a royal pain and I ended up sending it in to be diagnosed
and repaired (a pricey ordeal). They replaced the motherboard and told
me that it was only guaranteed to work for something like 6 months( is this true?!?).
Earlier today, I was working on my laptop and the screen turned to a
somewhat static-y black and white problem (unlike the horizontal lines
to gradual complete black that i had before). After this pattern, I
shut the laptop off. Now, when I try to restart the computer, the fans
will start up for about a second and then stop and it will not turn on.
None of the lights are on unless the Power is plugged in. Is this another motherboard problem? If so, is there anything at all I can do to prevent this from occurring twice a year? (The laptop is less than 2 years old) Is it worth the money to keep replacing the motherboard or am i better off buying a new laptop? If the latter, are there any that you would recommend so I can avoid the massive headache that I've had with this laptop?
Thank you SO MUCH for your time and support,
