Video on HP Compaq nx9010 PC Notebook is extremely slow even on BIOS page. Is it due to some virus?

open back side of your laptop and find mother bord remove cmos cell for 15 minutes from mother bord.then it reset to defaults.

Are you wanting to clear thr BIOS password? IF so the only way to do it on a laptop is to pull the CMOS battery out. Then boot the computer up to BIOS and it should be cleared, then just reinstall the battery.

Try both, as 9010 is built in two different versions.

it could be infected by a virus what you should do to completely solve this problem. save all you important documents formatt you entire harddrive and re-install your operating system and drivers and you problem will be solved ensure to install an updated version of your anti virus. scanning with the anti virus only now is probably too late some of you program files and registry could already be damaged so you must rather format.

lol ;) Much harder than with a pc.

But you need to remove the battery for it. I am afraid it would require taking the keyboard out.
